Mere digital attestations

Sources of this type contain a unique text of a work, which in its entirety is not attested in a manuscript or in a printed edition. Such sources range from basic electronic collations ("-> etexts") -- with or without occassional metatext -- to enriched representations of the text of a work (-> "digital editions"). These types of digital versions of a work are to be distinguished from digital versions, where the exact text of a particular manuscript or book is precisely captured ("-> digitized manuscript or -> "digitized print edition"). Cf. the navigation item "Digital Resources".
