na khalu jñasvabhāvasya kaścid agocaro 'sti yan na krameta tatsvabhāvāntarapratiṣedhāt cetanasya sataḥ sambandhyantaraṃ mohodayakāraṇakaṃ madirādivat tadabhāve sākalyena viratavyāmohaḥ sarvamatītānāgatavartamānaṃ paśyati pratyāsattiviprakarṣayor akiñcitkaratvāt ata evākṣānapekṣā'ñjanādisaṃskṛtacakṣuṣo yathālokā'napekṣā vacanasāmarthyād ajñānādir doṣaḥ svaparapariṇāmahetuḥ ata eva loṣṭādau niśśeṣadoṣāvaraṇanivṛtteḥ siddhasādhyatety asamīkṣitābhidhānaṃ sādhyāparijñānāt doṣāvaraṇayor hāner atiśāyanān niśśeṣatāyāṃ sādhyāyāṃ buddher api kin na parikṣayaḥ syād viśeṣābhāvād ato 'naikāntiko hetur ity aśikṣitalakṣitaṃ adṛśyānupalambhād abhāvāsiddhir ity ayuktaṃ paracaitanyanivṛttāvārekāpatteḥ saṃskartṝṇāṃ pātakitvaprasaṅgād bahulam apratyakṣasyāpi rogāder vinivṛttinirṇayāt yadi punar ayaṃ nirbandhaḥ sarvatra viprakarṣiṇām abhāvāsiddhis tadā kṛtakatvadhūmāder vināśānalābhyāṃ vyāpter asiddher na kaścid dhetuḥ tataḥ śauddhodaniśiṣyakāṇām anātmanīnam etat anumānocchedaprasaṅgāt yasya hānir atiśayavatī tasya kutaścit sarvātmanā vyāvṛttiḥ yathā buddhyādiguṇasyāśmanaḥ tathā ca doṣāder hānir atiśayavatī kutaścin nivarttayitum arhati sakalaṃ kalaṅkam iti katham akalaṅkasiddhir na bhavet maṇer malāder vyāvṛttiḥ kṣayaḥ sato 'tyantavināśānupapatteḥ tādṛgātmano 'pi karmaṇo nivṛttau pariśuddhiḥ karmaṇo 'pi vaikalyam ātmakaivalyam asty eva tato nātiprasajyeta pratipakṣa evātmanāmāgantuko malaḥ parikṣayī svanirhrāsanimittavivarddhanavaśāt nunu nirastopadravaḥ sannātmā katham akalaṅko 'pi viprakarṣiṇām arthaṃ pratyakṣīkuryāt svabhāvakāladeśaviprakarṣiṇām anumeyatvam asiddham ity anumānam utsārayati yāvān kaścid bhāvaḥ sa sarvaḥ kṣaṇika ityādivyāpter asiddhau prakṛtopasaṃhārāyogād aviprakarṣiṇām anumiter ānarthakyāt sattvāder anityatvādinā vyāptim icchatāṃ siddham anumeyatvam anavayaveneti na kiñcid vyāhataṃ paśyāmaḥ te 'numeyā na kasyacit pratyakṣāś ca syuḥ kiṃ vyāhanyate iti samānam agnyādīnām tathā cānumānocchedaḥ syāt tadabhyupagame 'svasaṃvedyavijñānavyaktibhir adhyakṣaṃ kiṃ lakṣayet pramāṇatayā paramapramāṇatayeti na kiñcid etat tayā naitat tayā vā ayam abhyupagantum arhati tad evaṃ prameyatvasattvādir yatra hetulakṣaṇaṃ puṣṇāti taṃ kathaṃ cetanaḥ pratiṣeddhum arhati saṃśayituṃ vā dharmiṇyasiddhasattāke bhāvābhāvobhayadharmāṇām asiddhaviruddhānaikāntikatvāt kathaṃ sakalavidi sattvasiddhir iti bruvann api devānāṃ priyas taddharmisvabhāvaṃ na lakṣayati śabdānityatvasādhane 'pi kṛtakatvādāv ayaṃ vikalpaḥ kiṃ na syād iti vimatyadhikaraṇabhāvāpannavināśadharmidharmatve kāryatvāder asaṃbhavadbādhakatvāder api sandigdhasadbhāvadharmidharmatvaṃ siddhaṃ boddhavyam yadi viprakṛṣṭārthapratyakṣatvam arhataḥ sādhyate pakṣadoṣo 'prasiddhaviśeṣaṇatvam tata eva vyāptir na sidhyet anarhataś ced aniṣṭānuṣaṅgo 'pi kaḥ punaḥ sāmānyātmā tadubhayavyatirekeṇa yasya vivakṣitārthapratyakṣatvam ity etadvikalpajālaṃ śabdanityatve 'pi samānaṃ na kevalaṃ sūkṣmādisākṣātkaraṇasya pratiṣedhane saṃśītau vā tad ayam anumānamudrāṃ bhinatti varṇānāṃ nityatvam akṛtakatvādinā sarvagatānāṃ yadi sādhayati syād aprasiddhaviśeṣaṇaḥ pakṣaḥ itarathāniṣṭānuṣaṅgaḥ kīdṛk punaḥ sāmānyaṃ nāma yad ubhayadoṣaprasaṅgaparihārāya kalpyeta sarvagatatvasādhane 'pi samānam avivakṣitaviśeṣasya pakṣīkaraṇe samaḥ samādhir ity alam apratiṣṭhitamithyāvikalpaudhaiḥ viprakarṣy api bhinnalakṣaṇasambandhitvādinā kasyacit pratyakṣaṃ sotra bhavān arhann evaanyeṣāṃ nyāyāgamaviruddhabhāṣitvātvicitrābhisaṃbandhatayā vyāpāravyāhārādisāṅkaryeṇa kvacid apy atiśayānirṇaye kaimarthakyād viśeṣeṣṭiḥ jñānavato 'pi visaṃvādāt kva punar āśvāsaṃ labhemahi na caivaṃ vādinaḥ kiñcid anumānaṃ nāma nirabhisasandhīnām api bahulaṃ kāryasvabhāvāniyamopalambhāt sati kāṣṭhādisāmagrīviśeṣe kvacid upalabdhasya tadabhāve prāyasonupalabdhasya maṇyādikāraṇakalāpe 'pi saṃbhavāt yaj jātīyo yataḥ saṃprekṣitas taj jātīyāt tādṛg iti durlabhaniyamatāyāṃ dhūmadhūmaketvādīnām api vyāpyavyāpakabhāvaḥ katham iva nirṇīyeta vṛkṣaḥ śiṃśapātvād iti latācūtāder api kvacid eva darśanāt prekṣāvatāṃ kim iva niḥśaṅkaṃ cetaḥ syāt tad etadadṛṣṭasaṃśayaikāntavādināṃ vidagdhamarkaṭānāmiva svalāṅgūlabhakṣaṇam yatnataḥ parīkṣitaṃ kāryaṃ kāraṇaṃ nātivartate iti cet stutaṃ tato 'yaṃ pratipattur aparādho nānumānasyety anukūlam ācarati tad evaṃ tat suniścitāsambhavadbādhakapramāṇatvam arhaty eva sakalajñatvaṃ sādhayati nānyatrety avirodha ityādinā spaṣṭayata niyamābhyupagame suṣuptyādāv api nirabhiprāyavṛttir na syāt pratisaṃviditākārecchā tadā saṃbhavantī punaḥ smaryeta vāñchāntaravat tataś caitanyakaraṇapāṭavayor eva sādhakatamatvam naktañcarādeḥ saṃskṛtacakṣuṣo vā'napekṣitālokasannidheḥ rūpopalambhāt na caive saṃvitkaraṇapāṭavayor apy abhāve vivakṣāmātrāt kasyacid vacanapravṛttiḥ prasajyate saṃvitkaraṇavaikalye yathāvivakṣaṃ vāgvṛtter abhāvāt na ca doṣajātis taddhetur yatas tāṃ vāṇī nātivarteta tatprakarṣāpakarṣānuvidhānābhāvād buddhyādivat tatprasiddhena na bādhyatepramāṇataḥ siddhaṃ prasiddham tad eva kasyacid bādhanaṃ yuktam viśeṣaṇam etatparamatāpekṣam aprasiddhenāpy anityatvādyekāntadharmeṇa bādhā'kalpanāt cen narte pramāṇāt pratibandhasiddher abhyugamāt na khalu pareṣāṃ pratyakṣam agnidhūmayoḥ kṣaṇabhaṅgasadbhāvayor vā sākalyena vyāptiṃ prati samartham avicārakatvāt sannihitaviṣayatvāc ca na cānumānam anamavasthānuṣaṅgāt parokṣāntarbhāvinā nas tarkeṇa sambandho vyavatiṣṭheta tadapramāṇatve na laiṅgikaṃ pramāṇam iti śeṣaḥ samāropavyavacchedāviśeṣāt adhigamo 'pi vyavasāyātmaiva tadanutpattau sato 'pi darśanasya sādhanāntarāpekṣayā sannidhānā'bhedāt suṣuptacaitanyavat anekāntātmakavastusākṣātkaraṇaṃ bahirantaś ca sakalajagatsākṣībhūtaṃ vipakṣe pratyakṣavirodhalakṣaṇam anena dakṣayati na hi kiñcid rūpāntaravikalaṃ sadasannityānityādyekāntarūpaṃ saṃvedanam anyad vā saṃpaśyāmo yathātra pratijñāyate citrajñānavat kathañcid asaṅkīrṇaviśeṣaikātmanaḥ sukhādicaitanyasya varṇasaṃsthānādyātmanaḥ skandhasya ca preṣaṇāt sāmānyaviśeṣaikātmanaḥ saṃvittir ekāntasyānupalabdhir vā sarvataḥ siddhā cakṣurādimatām anārhatakalpanām astaṃ gamayatīti kiṃ naḥ pramāṇāntareṇa dṛṣṭasyānvayavyatirekayoḥ svabhāvabhedapradarśanārthatvāc ca gariṣṭhatvasiddheḥ anekāntaikāntayor upalambhānupalambhayor ekatvapradarśanārthaṃ tāvad ubhayam āha matāntarapratikṣepārthaṃ vā yad āha dharmakīrtiḥsādharmyavaidharmyayor anyatareṇārthagatāv ubhayapratipādanaṃ pakṣādivacanaṃ vā nigrahasthānam iti na tad yuktam sādhanasāmarthyena vipakṣavyāvṛttilakṣaṇena pakṣaṃ prasādhayataḥ kevalaṃ vacanādhikyopālambhacchalena parājayādhikaraṇaprāptiḥ svayaṃ nirākṛtapakṣeṇa pratipakṣiṇā lakṣaṇīyeti pratijñānupayoge śāstrādiṣv api nābhidhīyeta viśeṣābhāvātyat sat tat sarvaṃ kṣaṇikaṃ yathā ghaṭaḥ saṃś ca śabda iti trilakṣaṇaṃ hetum abhidhāya yadi samarthayate katham iva sandhām atiśete svahetusamarthanam antareṇa tadabhidhāne 'pi tadarthāpratipatteḥ tāvatārthapratipattau samarthanaṃ vā nigamanādikaṃ yataḥ parājayo na bhavet sattvamātreṇa naśvaratvasiddhāv utpattimattvakṛtakatvādivacanam atiriktaviśeṣaṇopādānāt kṛtakatvaprayatnānantarīyakatvādiṣu ca kapratyayātirekādasādhanāṅgavacanaṃ parājayāya prabhavet kvacit pakṣadharmatvapradarśanaṃ saṃś ca śabda ity avigānāttrilakṣaṇavacanasamarthanaṃ ca asādhanāṅgavacanam apajayaprāptir iti vyāhataṃtathānyasyāpi prastutetarasya vādinoktāvitarasya svapakṣam asādhayato vijayāsaṃbhavān nigrahasthānam ayuktamsādhanāṅgasyāvacanaṃprativādino 'py adoṣodbhāvanaṃ doṣasyānudbhāsanaṃ vānena pratyuktaṃvijigīṣuṇobhayaṃ kartavyaṃ svaparapakṣasādhanadūṣaṇamato 'nyatareṇāsiddhānaikāntikavacane 'pi jalpāparisamāptiḥ nirākṛtāvasthāpitavipakṣasvapakṣayor eva jayeta ravyavasthā nānyathā iti darśayann ubhayam āha karmaphalasaṃbandhaparalokādikam ekāntavādināṃ prāyeṇeṣṭaṃ tadanekāntapratiṣedhena bādhyatetato 'nuṣṭhānam abhimatavyāghātakṛt sadasannityānityādyekānteṣu kasyacit kutaścit kadācit kvacit prādurbhāvāsaṃbhavātna hi sarvātmanā sarvasya bhūtāv eva janma viruddham api tu sarvathā'bhāve 'pi vyalīkapratibhāsānām anuparamaprasaṅgātna kevalaṃ svabhāvanairātmye evāyaṃ doṣaḥ kiṃ tv antarubhayayatra vā niranvayasattvo 'pikāryakālam aprāpnuvataḥ kāraṇatvānupapatteś ciratarātītavat saty'abhavataḥ svayam eva niyamena paścād bhavatas tatkāryatvaṃ viruddhaṃ kālāntare 'pi kin na syāt tadabhāvāviśeṣāt samanantaravat samarthe saty'abhavataḥ punaḥ kālāntare bhāvinas tatprabhavābhyupagame katham akṣaṇike 'rthakriyānupapattiḥ tatsattvāsattvayor aviśeṣātkāraṇasāmarthyāpekṣiṇaḥ phalasya kālaniyamakalpanāyām acalapakṣe 'pi samānaḥ parihāraḥ kṣaṇavarttina ekasmāt kāraṇasvabhāvam abhedayatāṃ vicitrakarmaṇām utpattau kūṭasthe 'pi kiṃ na syāt kramaśaḥ kāryotpattiḥ katham atrotpattir nāma tatra samānaḥ paryanuyogaḥ sadasator anutpatter niṣpannakhapuṣpavat sataḥ punar guṇāntarādhānam anekaṃ kramaśo 'py anubhavataḥ kiṃ virudhyeta kṣaṇasthāyinaḥ kasyacid eva grāhyagrāhakākāravaiśvarūpyānabhyupagame 'pi saṃviditajñānasya grāhyagrāhakākāravivekaṃ parokṣaṃ bibhrāṇasya sāmarthyaprāpteḥanyathā śūnyasaṃvidor vipratiṣedhāt tad ayaṃkṣaṇasthāyi kāraṇaṃ svasattāyāṃ kāryaṃ kurvadabhyupagacchan kramotpattim uparuṇaddhi sakalajagadekakṣaṇavṛttiprasaṅgāt kāraṇasya kāryakālaprāptau kṣaṇabhaṅgabhaṅgānuṣaṅgāt tadaprāpnuvatas tatkṛtau vyalīkakalpanāviśeṣeṇa kūṭasthānatiśāyanāt tataḥ subhāṣitaṃkuśalādyasaṃbhūtir ekāntagraharakteṣv iti sāṃkhyair niṣparyāyadravyaikāntapakṣe sarvātmakatvādidoṣānuṣaṅgaḥ kutaḥ punar viśeṣānapanhuvītatatsādhanavyabhicārātsaṃvinnirbhāsabhedād bhāvasvabhāvabhedaḥ prakalapyeta sa punar abhede 'py ātmanaḥ khaṇḍaśaḥ pratibhāsanāt tadanyatrāpi vibhramābhāve kośapānaṃ vidheyamtad ekaṃ cakṣurādijñānapratibhāsabhedavaśād rūpādivyapadeśabhāg grāhyagrāhakasaṃvittivatitaretarābhāvavikalpo 'pi katham ayathārtho na syād varṇādivikalpavatna hi vastuvyatiriktam asan nāma pramāṇasyārthaviṣayatvātabhāvadṛṣṭau hi tadavasānakāraṇābhāvād bhāvadarśanam anavasaraṃ prāpnoti sakalaśaktivirahalakṣaṇasya nirupākhyasya svabhāvakāryāder abhāvāt kutas tatpramitiḥvastuno nānātvaṃ buddhyādikāryanānātvāt pratīyetsvabhāvābhede 'pi vividhakarmatā dṛṣṭā yugapadekārthopanibaddhadṛṣṭiviṣayakṣaṇavat śaktinānātvaṃ prasavaviśeṣāt sa ced vyabhicārī kutas tadgatiḥkevalam avidyā svabhāvadeśakālāvasthābhedānā''tmani paratra vā sataḥ svayam asatī mithyāvyavahārapadavīm upanayati yataḥ kṣaṇabhaṅgino bhinnasaṃtatayaḥ skandhā vikalperann anyathā vā iti pratibhāsakāryādyabhede 'pi kasyacid ekatvaṃ sādhayatīti sādhyasādhanayor abhede kiṃ kena kṛtaṃ syāt pakṣavipakṣāder abhāvātkvacid asādhanā sādhyasiddhiḥ atiprasaṅgāt prāgabhāvānabhyupagame ghaṭāder anāditvaprasaṅgāt puruṣavyāpārānarthakyaṃ syātkalpayitvāpi tadabhivyaktiṃ tasyāḥ prāgabhāvo 'ṅgīkartavyaḥ tathā hi sataḥ śabdasya tālvādibhir abhivyaktiḥ prāgasatī kriyate na punaḥ śabda eveti svaruciviracitadarśanapradarśanamātramsā yadi śravaṇajñānotpattiḥ saiva kathaṃ prāksatī yatnataḥ kartavyā yogyatāyāṃ samānaś carcaḥ tadāvaraṇavigamaḥ prāk kim abhūt bhūtau vā kiṃ yatnena viśeṣādhānam api tādṛg eva karmakartṛkaraṇānāṃ prāgabhāvābhāvātna kaścid viśeṣahetus tālvādayo vyañjakā na punaś cakrādayo 'pīti na hi vyañjakavyāpṛtir niyamena vyaṅgyaṃ sannidhāpayati nāyaṃ doṣaḥ sarvagatatvād varṇānām ity api vārtaṃ anyatrāpi tathābhāvānuṣaṅgāt iṣṭatvād adoṣo 'yaṃcen na kāraṇavyāpāreṣv api codyānivṛtteḥ etenāvasthā pratyuktātadviśeṣaikānte tadvato 'nupayogaḥ tāvateti kartavyatāsthānāt abhedaikānte pūrvavat prasaṅgaḥ pariṇāme 'py eṣa paryanuyogaḥ nāṃ tadabhinnānāṃ kramaśo vṛttirmā bhūt bhinnānāṃ vyapadeśo 'pi mā bhūtsaṃbandhāsiddher anupakārakatvātpakāre 'pi sarvaṃ samānam anavasthā ca tathā vināśānabhyupagame tasya kiṃ kṛtam aśravaṇam tadātmānam akhaṇḍayataḥ kasyacid āvaraṇatvāyogātāvṛtānāvṛtasvabhāvayor abhedānupapatteḥ tayor abhede vā śabdasya śrutir aśrutir vety ekāntaḥtamasāpi ghaṭāder akhaṇḍane pūrvavad upalabdhiḥ kin na bhavitum arhati svasaṃvittyutpattau kāraṇāntarāpekṣā mā bhūt tatkaraṇasamarthasya anyathā tadasāmarthyam akhaṇḍayad akiñcitkaraṃ kiṃ sahakārikāraṇaṃ syāt tatkhaṇḍane vā svabhāvahānir avyatirekāt vyatireke vyapadeśānupapattiḥ iti pūrvavat sarvaṃ varṇānāṃ vyāpitvān nityatvāc ca kramaśrutir anupapannaiva samānakaraṇānāṃ tādṛśām abhivyaktiniyamāyogāt sarvatra sarvadā sarveṣāṃ saṃkulā śrutiḥ syāt vaktṛśrotṛvijñānayos tatkāraṇakāryayoḥ kramavṛttim apekṣya pariṇāmināṃ kramotpattipratipattyor na kiñcid viruddhaṃ paśyāmaḥ sarvagatānām eṣa kramo duṣkaraḥ syāt kṣaṇikeṣv eva karaṇāṅgahārādiṣu pratyābhijñānād viruddho hetuḥ tatkriyaikatve 'pi kim idānīm anekaṃ syāt sarvavarṇaikatvaprasaṅgāt śakyaṃ hi vaktum abhivyañjakabhedād vaiśvarūpyaṃ jalacandravat kvacit pratyakṣavirodhe tad anyatrāpy avirodhaḥ kutaḥ tad ayaṃ tālvādivyāpārajanitaśrāvaṇasvabhāvaṃ parityajya viparītasvabhāvam āsādayann api nityaś cen na kiñcid anityam yugapatpratiniyatadeśamandratāraśruteḥ kasyacid ekakatve na kvacid anekatvasiddhiḥna hi kathañcit kvacit pratyavamarśo na syād varṇavat taccheṣaviśeṣabuddher abhivyañjakahetutvaprakḷptau sarvaṃ samañjasaṃ prekṣāmahetad eteṣāṃ pudgalānāṃ karaṇasannipātopanipāte śrāvaṇasvabhāvaḥ śabdaḥ pūrvāparakoṭyorasan prayatnānantarīyako ghaṭādiva pudgalasvabhāvatve darśanavistāravikṣepapratighātakarṇapūraṇaikaśrotrapraveśādyupālambho gandhaparamāṇukṛtapratividhānatayopekṣām arhati karṇaśaṣkulyāṃ kaṭakaṭāyamānasya prāyaśaḥ pratighātahetor bhavanādyupaghātinaḥ śabdasya prasiddhir asparśatvakalpanām astaṅgamayati niśchidranirgamanādayaḥ sūkṣmasvabhāvatvāt snehādisparśādivan na virudhyeranato yatnajanitavarṇādyātmā śrāvaṇam adhyasvabhāvaḥ prāk paścād api pudgalānāṃ nāstīti tāvān eva dhvanipariṇāmaḥ tat prāk pradhvaṃsābhāvapratikṣepe kauṭasthyaṃ kramayaugapadyābhyāṃ svākārajñānādyarthakriyāṃ vyāvartayatīti nirupākhyam ity abhiprāyaḥtadānupūrvīkalpanāṃ vistareṇa pratikṣepsyāmaḥ svabhāvāntarāt svabhāvavyāvṛttir anyāpohaḥ saṃvido grāhyākārāt kathañcid vyāvṛttāv anekāntasiddhir anyathā saṃbandhāsiddhiḥ avyāvṛttāv anyatarasvabhāvahāner na kiñcit syāt viṣayākāravikalasyānupalabdheḥsaṃvitteḥ svalakṣaṇapratyakṣavṛttāv api saṃvedyākāravivekasvabhāvāntarānupalabdheḥ svabhāvavyāvṛttiḥśavalaviṣayanirbhāse 'pi parasparavyāvṛttir abhyupagamanīyā anyathā citrapratibhāsāsaṃbhavāt tadanyatamavat tadālambanasyāpi nīlāder abhedasvabhāvatvāpatter nītadvatas tebhyo vyāvṛttiḥ ekānekasvabhāvatvād ghaṭarūpādivad ity anumānāt anyathā dravyam eva syān na rūpādayaḥsvabhāvaikatve 'pi nirbhāsavailakṣaṇyaṃ karaṇasāmagrībhedam anuvidadhyād dūrāsannaikārthopanibaddhanānādarśananirbhāsavatpratipuruṣaṃ viṣayasvabhāvabhedo vā sāmagrīsaṃbandhabhedātanyathā na kevalaṃ rūpāder abhedaḥkasyacit kramaśaḥ saṃbandhyantaropanipāto 'pi svabhāvaṃ na bhedayet tataḥ kramavanty api kāryāṇi tatsvabhāvabhedaṃ nānumāpayeyuḥtato yāvanti saṃbandhyantarāṇi tāvantaḥ pratyekaṃ bhāvasvabhāvabhedāḥ parasparavyāvṛttāḥ na hi kasyacit kenacit sākṣātparamparayā vā saṃbandho nāstīti nirupākhyatvaprasaṅgāt tad evaṃ pratikṣaṇam anantaparyāyāḥ pratyekam arthasārthāḥ kramaśo 'pi vicchede 'rthakriyānupapatteḥ svayam asatas tattvataḥ kvacid upakāritānupapatteḥkāraṇasya svakāryātmanā bhavataḥ pratikṣepāyogāt svabhāvāntarānapekṣaṇavattasmād ayam utpitsur eva vinaśyati naśvara eva tiṣṭhatisthāsnur evotpadyatesthitir evotpadyatevināśa eva tiṣṭhatiutpattir eva naśyatisthitir eva sthāsyaty utpatsyate vinaṅkṣyativināśa eva sthāsyaty utpatsyate vinaṅkṣyatiutpattir evotpatsyate vinaṅkṣyati sthāsyatīti na kutaścid uparamatibhāva eva dravati droṣyaty adudruvasattaiva viśeṣyate dravyakṣetrakālabhāvatmanātataḥ parasparavyāvṛttasvabhāvāna'nantaguṇaparyāyāt pratikṣaṇam āsādayantī sattaiva tiṣṭhatīty ādiyojyaṃtathā bhedān eva saṃdravantītyādi pratipattavyaṃ 'tyantābhāvāpākṛtau na kvacit kiñcit kathañcin na varteta tathā sarvaṃ sarvatra sarvathopalabhyeta kathaṃ punar abhāvapratipattiḥ kathaṃ ca na syāt pratyakṣasya rūpādisvalakṣaṇaviṣayatvāpramāṇāntarasyāpi svakāraṇaviṣayatvātasato 'nupalabdheḥ paryudāsavṛttyā vastuni niyamātkasya kaivalyam itarasya vaikalyam iti bruvann api devānāṃ priyo nāvadhārayati bhāvābhāvapratipatter abhāvābhyupagamāt svapararūpādibhāvābhāvalakṣaṇatvāt sarvasya niḥśreṇīpadabandhābhyām iva bhāvābhāvasvabhāvābhyāṃ pratibandhātna kiñcit pramāṇaṃ sarvātmanā bhāvam abhāvaṃ vā grahītum arhati aniyamaprasaṅgāt bhāvaprameyaikāntavādinām abhāvapratipattir ayuktiḥ ato na bhāvaniyamapratipattiḥtatprameyato 'pasaṃkhyānaṃ pramāṇadvayaniyamaṃ vighaṭayati bhāvanairātmyasya pramāṇākāraṇatvāt pratibandhaniyamo mā bhūt bahir antaś ca paramārthasat tadanyatarāpāye 'pi sādhanadūṣaṇaprayogānupapatteḥ iti prakṛtārthaparisamāptau kiṃ trilakṣaṇaparikalpanayā na hi saṃvṛttyā sādhyasādhanavyavasthā yuktimatīśūnyasiddher aparamārthatve punar anirākṛtasadbhāvasya sarvasyāśūnyatānuṣaṅgāt samāropavyavacchede 'pi samānaṃ heyopādeyopāyarahitam ayam a'hrīkaḥ kevalaṃ vikrośatisaṃvṛttyāstīti svarūpeṇety ayam arthakṛtam anukūlaṃ kevalaṃ vaktātmano vaiyātyaṃ sūcayatiatha pararūpeṇa nāstināmni vivādāt etad api tādṛg evatad etenobhayānubhayavikalpaḥ pratyuktaḥ atha tad asti mṛṣātmaneti samānaś carcaḥsaṃvṛtir vicārānupapattir ity ayuktaṃ tadabhāvāt t tatparapratipādanārthaṃ śāstram upadeṣṭāraṃ vā varṇayan sarvaṃ pratikṣipatīti katham anunmattaḥ śauddhodaner eva tāvat prajñāparādho 'yaṃ lokātikrāntaḥ kathaṃ babhūvety ativismayam āsmahe tanmanye punar adyāpi kīrttayantīti kiṃ bata param anyatra mohanīyaprakṛteḥ bhāvābhāvayor ekatarapratikṣepaikāntapakṣopakṣiptadoṣaparijihīrṣayā sadasadātmakaṃ sarvam abhyupagacchato 'pi vāṇī vipratiṣidhyeta tayoḥ parasparaparihārasthitilakṣaṇatvāt na hi sarvātmanā kañcid arthaṃ santaṃ tathaivāsantam ācakṣāṇaḥ svasthaḥ svābhyupetetaranirāsavidhānakaraṇāc chūnyāvabodhavat s trailokyaṃ vyakter apaiti nityatvapratiṣedhāt apetam apy asti vināśapratiṣedhād iti vā tadanyathāpetam anyathāstīti syādvādāvalambananam andhasarpabilapraveśanyāyam anusarati yo 'pi pakṣatrayopakṣiptadoṣajihāsayā sarvathā'vaktavyaṃ tattvam avalambeta so 'pi katham avaktavyaṃ brūyātnaiṣa doṣaḥ svalakṣaṇam anirdeśyaṃ pratyakṣaṃ kalpanāpoḍham ityādiva tad apy asat yad asataḥ samudāhṛtamyathaivākṣaviṣaye 'bhidhānaṃ nāsti tathākṣajñāne viṣayo 'pi naivāsti tatas tatra pratibhāsamāne 'pi na pratibhāseta na kevalaṃ viṣayabalād dṛṣṭer utpattiḥ api tu cakṣurādiśakteś catadarthavatkaraṇam anukarttum arhati na cārthaṃ viśeṣābhāvāt darśanasya kāraṇāntarasadbhāve 'pi viṣayākārānukāritvam eva sutasyeva pitrākārānukaraṇam ity api vārtaṃ svopādānamātrānukaraṇaprasaṅgāt ubhayākārānukaraṇe py arūpādivadupādānasyāpi viṣayatāpattiḥ atiśayābhāvāt varṇāder vā tadvadaviṣayatvaprasaṅgāttajjanmarūpāviśeṣe 'pi tadadhyavasāyaniyamād bahirarthaviṣayatvam ity asāraṃdarśanasyānadhyavasāyātmakatvāt adoṣo 'yaṃ pratyakṣasyādhyavasāyahetutvād ity anirūpitābhidhānaṃ tatrābhilāpābhāvāttadabhāve 'py adhyavasāyakalpanāyāṃ pratyakṣaṃ kiṃ nādhyavasyet yathaiva hi pratyakṣasyābhilāpasaṃsargayogyatā nāsti tathā tatsamanantarabhāvino 'pi vikalpasya tathā hi kiñcit kenacid viśiṣṭaṃ gṛhyamāṇaṃ kvacid viśeṣaṇaviśeṣyatatsaṃbandhavyavasthāgrahaṇam apekṣate daṇḍivat na cāyam iyato vyāpārān kartuṃ samarthaḥ pratyakṣabalotpatter avicārakatvāt pratyakṣavat naitad evaṃśabdārthavikalpavāsanāprabhavatvān manovikalpasya t tatas tarhi katham akṣabuddheḥ rūpādiviṣayatvaniyamaḥ tadabhyupagame vār abhilāpasaṃsargo 'pi tadvad anumīyetatasmād ayaṃ kiñcit paśyan tatsadṛśaṃ pūrvaṃ dṛṣṭaṃ na smartum arhati tannāmaviśeṣāsmaraṇāt tadasmaran naiva tadabhidhānaṃ pratipadyate tadapratipattau tena tan na yojayati tad ayojayan nādhyavasyatīti na kvacid vikalpaḥ śabdo vety avikalpābhidhānaṃ jagat syāt tathā hi bahir antar vā gṛhītam apy agṛhītakalpaṃ kṣaṇakṣayasvalakṣaṇasaṃvedanādivat tathā cāyātam acetanatvaṃ jagataḥsaha smṛtir ayuktaivatannāmākṣaramātrāṇām api kramaśodhyavasānātanyathā saṃkulā pratipattiḥ syātnāmno nāmāntareṇa vināpi smṛtau kevalārthavyavasāyaḥ kiṃ na syāt tannāmāntaraparikalpanāyām anavasthāt tad ayam aśabdaṃ sāmānyaṃ vyavasyan svalakṣaṇam api vyavasyet bhedābhāvāt sāmānyavat svalakṣaṇam adhyavasyann abhilāpena yojayet tato na kiñcit prameyam anabhilāpyaṃ nāmapratyakṣasyānabhilāpyatve smārttaṃ śabdānuyojanaṃ dṛṣṭasāmānyavyavasāyo yady apekṣeta so 'rtho vyavahito bhavet tadindriyajñānāt sāmānyavyavasāyo na syāt prāg ivājanakatvāt tadantareṇāpi darśanam ayaṃ gaur iti nirṇayaḥ syāt m anabhilāpyasya viśeṣasyānubhave katham abhilāpyasya smṛtiḥ atyantabhedāt śabdārthayoḥ saṃbandhasyāsvābhāvikatve katham arthamātraṃ paśyan śabdam anusmarettadarthaṃ vā yato 'yaṃ vyavasāyaḥ cakṣurādijñānasya kathañcid vyavasāyātmakatvābhāve dṛṣṭasajātīyasmṛtir na syāt dānahiṃsāviraticetasaḥ svargādiphalajananasāmarthyasaṃvedanavat kṣaṇakṣayānubhavanavad vāpratyakṣe 'bhilāpasaṃskāraviccheda kutas tadvikalpyābhilāpasaṃyojanaṃ yataḥ sāmānyam abhilāpyaṃ syātna ca grāhakapratyakṣasmṛtipratibhāsabhedād viṣayasvabhāvābhedābhāvaḥ sakṛdekārthopanibaddhadarśanapratyāsannetarapuruṣajñānaviṣayavattathā ca mandapratibhāsini tatsaṃketavyavahāraniyamakalpanāyām api kathañcid abhidheyatvaṃ vastunaḥ siddham ity alaṃ prasaṅgena tasmād avācyataikānte yad avācyam ity abhidhānaṃ tad asamañjasaṃ svalakṣaṇam anirdeśyam ityādivat svavacanavirodhāt na avagrahehāder anyonyaṃ svalakṣaṇavivekaikānte jīvāntaravatsvātmany api santānabhedaprasaṅgātahamahamikayātmā vivartānanubhavann anādinidhanaḥ svalakṣaṇapratyakṣaḥ sarvalokānāṃ kvacic citravittikṣaṇe nīlādiviśeṣanirbhāsavadātmabhūtān parasparato viviktān sahakramabhāvino guṇaparyāyān ātmasāt kurvan sann eva tadekatvābhāve nīlādiviśeṣaniyatadarśananānāsaṃtānasaṃvedanakṣaṇavac citrasaṃvedanaṃ na syāt tathā kramavṛttīnāṃ sukhādīnāṃ matiśrutādīnāṃ vā tādātmyavigamaikānte saṃtatir anekapuruṣavan nanairantaryāder aviśeṣāt saṃtānavyatikaro 'pi kin na syāt na hi niyāmakaḥ kaścid viśeṣaḥ anyatrābhedapariṇāmāt py asaṃkare harṣaviṣādādicitrapratipatter ayogāt yathaikatra samanantarāv agrahādisadādisvabhāvasaṃkarapariṇāmas tathaiva sarvatra cetanācetaneṣu saṃpratyatītānāgateṣu tatsvabhāvāvicchitteḥ ataḥ kathañcit sad eveṣṭaṃ na kevalaṃ jīvājīvaprabhedāḥ sajātīyavijātīyavyāvṛttilakṣaṇāḥ kiṃtu buddhikṣaṇe 'pi kvacid grāhyagrāhakayoḥ sitādinirbhāsāṃśaparamāṇusaṃvittayo 'pi parasparaparihārasthitilakṣaṇatvād anyathā sthūlaśavalāvalokanābhāvāt tadekāṃśavattathā ca sakalacetanetararakṣaṇapariṇāmalavaviśeṣāḥ parasparaviviktātmānaḥ tadanyonyābhāvamātraṃ jagat anyathā sarvathaikatvaprasaṅgāt nvayasya viśeṣāpekṣaṇād abhāvo vātad iṣṭam asad eva kathañcit na hi bhāvābhāvaikāntayor niṣparyāyam aṅgīkaraṇaṃ yuktaṃ yathaivāsti tathaiva nāstīti vipratiṣedhātkathañcit sadasadātmakaṃ dravyaparyāyanayāpekṣayāviparyaye tathaivāsaṃbhavāt sarvathā jātyantarakalpanāyāṃ vā tadaṃśanibandhanaviśeṣapratipatter atyantābhāvaprasaṅgātsarvathobhayarūpatve vā jātyantarapratipatter ayogāt tathā cānavasthādidoṣānuṣaṅgaḥ tadiṣṭaṃ syād ubhayaṃ sadbhāvetarābhyām anabhilāpe vastunaḥ kevalaṃ mūkatvaṃ jagataḥ syāt vidhipratiṣedhavyavahārāyogāt na hi sarvātmanānabhilāpyasvabhāvaṃ buddhir adhyavasyati na cānadhyavaseyaṃ pramitaṃ nāma gṛhītasyāpi tādṛśasyāgṛhītakalpatvāt mūrcchācaitanyavad na so 'sti pratyayo loke yaḥ śabdānugamādṛte anuviddham ivābhāti sarvaṃ śabde pratiṣṭhitam vāgrūpatā ced utkrāmed avabodhasya śāśvatī na prakāśaḥ prakāśeta sā hi pratyavamarśinī sarvātmanābhidheyatve 'pi pratyakṣetarāviśeṣaprasaṅgāttathānābhidheyatve 'pi satyetarayor abhedaḥ syātsaugataḥsvapakṣavipakṣayos tattvātattvapradarśanāya yat kiṃcit praṇayan vastu sarvathānabhidheyaṃ pratijānātīti kim apy etan mahādbhutaṃ hetuvaco 'śaktam api svayam tatkṛtāṃ vastusiddhim upajīvati na tadvācyatāṃ ceti svadṛṣṭirāgamātram anavasthānuṣaṅgāt syāt sadasadātmakāḥ padārthāḥ sarvasya sarvākaraṇāt na hi paṭādayo ghaṭādivatkṣīrādyāharaṇalakṣaṇām arthakriyāṃ kurvanti ghaṭādijñānaṃ vā tadubhayātmani dṛṣṭāntaḥ sulabhaḥśābdetarapratyayayor ekavastuviṣayayor ekātmasamavetayoḥ kāraṇaviśeṣavaśāt parivṛttātmanoḥ svabhāvabhede 'pi kathañcid ekatvam asty eva vicchedānupalabdheḥ upādānasya kāryakālam ātmānaṃ kathaṃcid anayataś cirataranivṛttāvivāviśeṣāt kāryotpattāv api vyapadeśānupapattes tādṛśāṃ svarūpaikatvam asty eva viśeṣāpekṣayā tu nāsty evana hi paurastyaḥ pāścātyaḥ svabhāvaḥ pāścātyo vā paurastyaḥnirapekṣas tatra kramo 'pi pratibhāsaviśeṣavaśāt prakalpyeta tadekatvād akramaḥ kin na syāt tadekānekākāram akramakramātmakam anvayavyatirekarūpaṃ sāmānyaviśeṣātmakaṃ sadasatpariṇāmaṃ sthityutpattivināśātmakaṃ svapradeśaniyataṃ svaśarīravyāpinaṃ trikālagocaram ātmānaṃ paraṃ vā kathañcit sākṣātkaroti parokṣayati vā keśādivivekavyāmugdhabuddhivat tādṛśaikacaitanyaṃ sukhādibhedaṃ vastu svato 'nyataḥ sajātīyavijātīyād viviktalakṣaṇaṃ bibharti anyathānavasthānāt kvacit kathaṃcid aniyamaḥ syāt svapararūpādyapekṣaṃ sadasadātmakaṃ vastu na viparyāsena tathādarśanāt kalpayitvāpi tajjanmarūpādhyavasāyān svānupalambhavyāvṛttilakṣaṇaṃ darśanaṃ pramāṇayitavyam tathāhi buddhir iyaṃ yayā prattyāsattyā kasyacid evākāram anukaroti tayā tam evārthaṃ niyamenopalabheta nānyathā pāramparyapariśramaṃ pariharet trilakṣaṇasyāpi vibhramahetuphalavijñānair vyabhicārāttadanabhyupagame svābhyupagamāsiddheḥ kiṃsādhanaḥ param upālabhetatadekopalambhaniyamaḥ svaparalakṣaṇābhyāṃ bhāvābhāvātmānaṃ prasādhayati tadabhāve na pravarteta nāpi nivarteta pramāṇāntaravat niṣparyāyaṃ bhāvābhāvāvabhidhānaṃ nāñjasaiva viṣayīkaroti śabdaśaktisvābhāvyāt vacanasūcanasāmarthyaviśeṣānatilaṅghanāt saṅketānuvidhāne 'pi kartṛkarmaṇoḥ śaktaśaktyor anyataravyapadeśārhatvādayo dāruvajralekhanavat anyathā'cākṣuṣatvādayaḥ śabdādidharmā na bhaveyuḥato yāvanti pararūpāṇi tāvanty eva pratyātmaṃ svabhāvāntarāṇi tathā pariṇāmātdravyaparyāyau vyastasamastau samāśritya caramabhaṅgatrayavyavasthānam na khalu sarvātmanā sāmānyaṃ vācyaṃ tatpratipatter arthakriyāṃ pratyanupayogāt na hi gotvaṃ vāhadohādāv upayujyatelakṣitalakṣaṇayā vṛttiḥ kathaṃcid atādātmye na bhavate saṃbandhāntarāsiddheḥ kārmukādivat na hi tādṛśo 'nupalambhāt saṃketo 'pi na sidhyet satāpi tādṛśāny avyāvṛttyātmanā bhavitavyam anyathā viśeṣavatsvabhāvahāniprasaṅgāt viśeṣāṇāṃ vā tadvat tato vyāvṛtteḥna cānyāpohaḥ sarvathārthaḥ śabdasya vikalpasya vā'apohaḥ śabdaliṅgābhyāṃ na vastu vidhi nocyate'sādhanavacanena nityatvasamāropavyavacchede svalakṣaṇasyānityatvāsiddhau sādhanavacanānarthakyāt vikalpābhidhānayor vastusaṃsparśābhāve svalakṣaṇadarśanasyākṛtanirṇayasya vastusannidher aviśeṣāt kiṃ kena pramitaṃ syāt na hi mithyādhyavasāyena tattvavyavasthāpanaṃvastudarśanasamāropavyavacchedayor anyatarasyāpi svatas tattvāpariniṣṭhitāv itaretarāśrayadoṣaḥ samayādarśino 'pi kvacid anvayabuddhyabhidhānavyavahāro 'tatkāryakāraṇavyatirekavyavasthāyāṃ guḍūcyādyudāharaṇaprakḷptiṃ viparyāsayati sarvam ittham anitthaṃ veti pratijñāyā'bhipretya vā prameyatvādihetūpādāne 'pi vyatireko 'sty eva prameyatvasya vastudharmatvāt khapuṣpādayo 'pi tatra vyavahāram icchatā prameyāḥ pratipattavyā iti na kiñcit pramāṇaṃ prameyābhāvasyāpi tathābhāvānuṣaṅgeṇāvyavasthāprasaṅgāt na caitad viruddhaṃ svalakṣaṇam anirdeśyam ityādivatdarśane svākāram anarpayatā svabhāvakāryapratibandhābhāve prameyatvaṃ pramāṇāntaram avaśyam ākarṣati tato vipratiṣiddham etatna ca svalakṣaṇam evānyāpohaḥ sarvathā vidhiniyamayor ekatānatvāsaṃbhavāt tatsvabhāvabhedābhāve ca saṃketaviśeṣānupapatter abhidhānapratyayaviśeṣo 'pi mā bhūt tadanyataravat tato yāvanti pararūpāṇi pratyekaṃ tāvantas tataḥ parāvṛttilakṣaṇāḥ svabhāvabhedāḥ pratikṣaṇaṃ pratyetavyāḥ yadi saṃbandhyantarāṇi bhāvasvabhāvabhedakāni na syus tadā nityatve 'pi kasyacit saṃbandhyantareṣu kādācit keṣu kramaśo 'rthakriyā na vai vipratiṣidhyeta śakyaṃ hi vaktuṃ kramavartīni kāraṇāni tattannirvartanātmakānīti nityaṃ svabhāvaṃ na vai jahāti kṣaṇikasāmagrīsannipatitaikatamavat tad etat tadā tattat kartuṃ samartham ekaṃ svabhāvam avicalitaṃ bibhrāṇaṃ sahakārikāraṇāni svabhāvasyābhedakāni nānākāryanibandhanāni kādācit kāni pratīkṣate ititad ime 'rthā vidhipratiṣedhābhyāṃ saṃpratibaddhā na pratibandham ativartante vastuta eva tato na saṃvṛtis tadvyavahārāya bhedam āvṛttya tiṣṭhatīti yuktaṃtadanekasvabhāvābhāve vinirbhāsāsaṃbhavād ātmani paratra cāsaṃbhavinam ākāram ādarśayatīti mugdhāyate sarvatrāsahāyarūpānupalabdheḥtasya paśyanti na taṃ kaścana paśyati tad iyaṃ saṃvṛtiḥ sāmānyasāmānādhikaraṇyaviśeṣaṇaviśeṣyabhāvādivyavahāranirbhāsān bibhratī svayam anekarūpatāṃ pratikṣipantaṃ vyavasthāpayatitadvadbhāvāntarāṇām anekāntātmakatve vāstavī sādharmyavaidharmyādisthitir aviśeṣeṇa vikalpabuddher mithyātvaṃ pratijānantaṃ pratikṣipaty eva yat punar etad anyato vyāvṛttir anātmikaiveti tan na cakṣurādijñānasya nirvyavasāyātmakasya svayam abhūtāviśeṣāt nirṇayasya bhāvasvabhāvāsaṃsparśinaḥ sarvathā vastutattvāparicchedād idam ittham eveti svayam ekāntānupapatteḥ ato 'yaṃ bhāvaḥ svabhāvabhedān vidhipratiṣedhaviṣayān bibhrāṇaḥ pratyakṣetarapramāṇasamadhigatalakṣaṇaḥ pratīyeta tasmād yad viśeṣaṇaṃ tat pratiṣedhyāvinābhāvi kvacid dharmiṇi yathā sādharmyaṃ bhedavivakṣayā kṛtakatvādau viśeṣaṇaṃ cāstitvaṃ tataḥ pratiṣedhyadharmapratibandhi bhedābhedavivakṣayor avastunibandhanatve viparyā so 'pi kiṃ na syāttataḥ samañjasam etat yat kiñcid viśeṣaṇaṃ tat sarvam ekatra pratipakṣadharmāvinābhāvi yathā vaidharmyam abhedavivakṣayā hetau tathā ca nāstitvaṃ viśeṣaṇamanyathā vyavahārasaṃkaraprasaṅgāt na hi svecchāprakḷptadharmadharmivyavasthāyāṃ paramārthāvatāraḥ syāt tadasamīkṣitatattvārthair lokapratītivaśād bhedābhedavyavasthitis tattvapratipattaye samāśrīyate iti bālābhilāpakalpaṃ bhāvasvabhāvoparodhā kiñcit kenacid viśiṣṭaṃ gṛhyamāṇaṃ viśeṣaṇaviśeṣyatatsaṃbandhalokasthitisaṃkalanena gṛhyeta nānyathety abhiniveśe 'pi vastuno vidhipratiṣedhasvabhāvayoḥ pratyekaṃ darśanam avaśyaṃbhāvi tato vidhipratiṣedhāv ātmānau viśeṣasya savikalpakatvaṃ sādhayataḥ tataḥ sāmānyaviśeṣātmakaṃ vastu svalakṣaṇaṃ astitvanāstitvayor dharmi sāmānyam tatra tādātmyalakṣaṇaḥ saṃbandhaḥ saṃbandhāntarakalpanāyām anavasthāprasaṅgāt tan naitatsāraṃjātyādimatām etan na saṃbhavaty eveti tadabhāve evāsaṃbhavāttathā sati naikāntena darśanavikalpābhidhānānāṃ viṣayabhedo 'sti kathaṃcit pratibhāsabhede 'pi pratyāsannetarapuruṣadarśanavattathā hi dhūmādayaḥ kṛtakatvādayo vā kvacid agnisalilayor vināśetarayor vā sādhanetarasvabhāvābhyāṃ sākṣātkriyeran itarathā viśeṣyapratipatter ayogāt anapekṣāyāṃ tu virodhaḥtasmād yad abhidheyaṃ tad viśeṣyamyad vā viśeṣyaṃ tad abhilāpyaṃ yad vā vastu tat sarvaṃ vidheyapratiṣedhyātmakaṃ yathotpattyādir apekṣayā hetur ahetuś ca sādhyetarayoḥ tathā ca vimatyadhikaraṇaṃ sattvābhidheyatvādi syād asti syān nāstīti bhaṅgadvayam upayuktam tadapekṣayā śeṣatvaṃ bhaṅgatrayāpekṣaṃyathoktanayayogata iti viśeṣaṇatvādīn ākṣipati tadanabhilāpyādayo 'pi kvacid dharmiṇi pratyanīkasvabhāvāvinābhāvinaḥ pratīyante viśeṣaṇatvādibhyaḥ pūrvoktam udāharaṇam na caivaṃ sati kiñcid vipratiṣiddhaṃ anyathaiva virodhāt saptabhaṅgīvidhau syādvāde vidhipratiṣedhābhyāṃ samārūḍhaṃ vastu sadasadātmakam arthakriyākāri kathaṃcit sata eva sāmagrī sannipātinaḥ svabhāvātiśayotpatteḥ suvarṇasyeva keyūrādisaṃsthānam neti ced ityādinaikānte 'rthakriyāṃ pratikṣipati na tāvat sataḥ punar utpattir asti na cānutpannasya sthitivipattīt khapuṣpavat nāpy asataḥ sarvathotpattyādayas tadvat yadi punaḥ sāmagryāḥ prāgavidyamānasya janma syāt ko doṣaḥ syāttasyā niranvayavināśe niṣkāraṇasya tathaivotpattir na syāt na hi nirādhārotpattir vipattir vā kriyārūpatvāt sthitivat naitan mantavyaṃ 'notpattyādiḥ kriyā kṣaṇikasya tadasaṃbhavāt tato 'siddho hetuḥ' iti pratyakṣādivirodhātprādurbhāvādimataś cakṣurādibuddhau pratibhāsanātanyathā tadviśiṣṭavikalpo 'pi mā bhūt na hi daṇḍapuruṣasaṃbandhādarśane daṇḍīti vikalpaḥ syāttataḥ sūktaṃ 'yad ekāntena sad asad vā tan notpattum arhati vyomavandhyāsutavat' itikatham idānīm anutpannasya gaganādeḥ sthitir iti cen na anabhyupagamātdravyanayāpekṣayā paraprasiddhyā codāharaṇaṃ yadi punaḥ pratyupādhi paramārthataḥ svabhāvabhedo na syāt tadā dṛṣṭe 'bhihite vā pramāṇāntaram uktyantaraṃ vā nirarthakaṃ syāt gṛhītagrahaṇāt punar ukteś ca svabhāvātiśayābhāvātsadutpattikṛtakatvādeḥ pratyanīkasvabhāvaviśeṣābhāvād yāvanti pararūpāṇi tāvantyas tatas tato vyāvṛttayaḥ pratyekam ity eṣāpi kalpanā mā bhūt satāṃ hi svabhāvānāṃ guṇapradhānabhāvaḥ syāttataḥ parikalpitavyāvṛttyā dharmāntaravyavasthāpanaṃ pariphalguprāyaṃ vastusvabhāvābhāvaprasaṅgāttathendriyabuddhayo 'pi svalakṣaṇaviṣayā mā bhūvan kevalaṃ vyāvṛttiṃ paśyeyuḥ adṛṣṭe vikalpāyogād atiprasaṅgāc ca syād ekaṃ saddravyanayāpekṣayā yady api te viśeṣāḥ parasparavyāvṛttapariṇāmāḥ kālādibhede 'pi sadrūpāviśiṣṭāś citrajñānanīlādinirbhāsavatsyād anekatvam āskandanti na hi saṃkhyāsaṃkhyāvator bhedenādṛṣṭau viśeṣaṇaviśeṣyavikalpaḥ kuṇḍalivat kṣīrodakavad atadvedini na ca bhedaikānte tadvattāsti vyapadeśanimittābhāvāt anavasthāprasaṅgāc ca tasmād ayaṃ kathaṃcid eva saṃkhyāsaṃkhyāvatoḥ svabhāvabhedaṃ paśyati tadviśiṣṭavikalpanāt kvacin nirṇaye 'py anyatra saṃśayād varṇarasādivad iti dvidyānando vo 'kalaṅka sadādyekānteṣu doṣodbhāvanam abhihitam advaitaikāntābhyupagamān na tāvatānekāntasiddhir iti cen na pratyakṣādivirodhāt na hi kasyacid abhyupagamamātraṃ pramāṇasiddhaṃ kriyākārakabhedaṃ pratiruṇaddhi kṣaṇikābhyupagamavatakalaṅkadevānām' na svato jāyate parato vā api tu jāyate eveti suṣuptāyate pratipattyupāyābhāvāt tasmād yad dṛṣṭaviruddhaṃ tan na samañjasaṃ yathā nairātmyam virudhyate ca tathaivādvaitaṃ kriyākārakabhedapratyakṣādibhiḥ pramāṇapratyanīkaṃ svamanīṣikābhir advaitam anyad vā kiṃcit phalam uddiśyāracayet anyathā tatprati pravartanāyogāt prekṣāvṛtteḥ tathāhi puṇyapāpasukhaduḥkhehaparalokavidyetarabandhamokṣaviśeṣarahitaṃ prekṣāpūrvakāribhir anāśrayaṇīyam yathā nairātmyadarśanam tathā ca prastutam yad asiddhaṃ tan na hitepsubhir ahitajihāsubhir vā pratipattavyam yathā śūnyataikāntaḥ tathā cāsiddham advaitam iti atra kāryakālam ātmānam anayataḥ kāraṇatvāsaṃbhavāt tadanutpatteḥ kutaḥ saṃtatiḥ pūrvāparakālabhāvinor api hetuphalavyapadeśabhājor atiśayātmanor anvayaḥ saṃtānaḥ kvacit kṣaṇāntare nīlalohitādinirbhāsacitraikasaṃvedanavat kathaṃcid ekatvam eva bhavitum arhatitadavayavapṛthaktvakalpanāyāṃ citranirbhāso mā bhūt pṛthagvarṇāntaraviṣayānekasaṃtānaikakṣaṇavat tatra pratyāsattiviśeṣaḥ kathaṃcid aikyātko 'paraḥ syāt anyathā vedyavedakākārayor api pṛthaktvaikāntaprasaṅgātsvabhāvabhede 'pi sahopalambhaniyamāt kathaṃcid abhedābhyupagame katham ekasaṃtānasaṃvidāṃ samanantaropalambhaniyamāt kathaṃcid aikyaṃ na syāttatra yayā pratyāsattyā saṃtānaḥ samudāyaś ca tayaiva kathaṃcid aikyam astu na hi tādṛśāṃ sādharmyam anyadanyatrātmasāṅkaryātekajñānanirbhāsaviśeṣāṇāṃ mithaḥ svabhāvabhede 'pi yathaikatvapariṇāmaḥ svabhāvato 'naṅkuśas tathā pretyabhāvādiṣu saṃtāno 'nvayaḥ paramārthaikatvam ātmasattvajīvādivyapadeśabhājanaṃ svabhāvabhedān ākramya svāmivad ananyatra vartayati viṣayiṇo viṣayāt kaṃthacit svabhāvabhede 'pi sadādyātmanā tādātmyaṃ bodhākārasyeva viṣayākārād viśeṣābhāvāt anyathā jñānam avastv eva khapuṣpavat tadabhāve bahir antar vā jñeyam eva na syāt tadapekṣatvāt viśeṣāṇām aśakyasamayatvāt asaṃketitānabhidhānāt viśeṣadarśanavat tadbuddhāv apratibhāsanād arthasannidhānānapekṣaṇāc ca svalakṣaṇam anabhidheyaṃ sāmānyam avastūcyate iti vastu nocyate iti syāt tataḥ kiṃ śabdoccāreṇa saṃketena vā gośabdo 'pi gāṃ nābhidhatte yathāśvaśabdasya tathā ca vastuno 'nabhidhāne maunaṃ yat kiṃcid vā vacanam ācaret viśeṣābhāvāt athāsti viśeṣaḥ kathaṃ svārthaṃ nābhidadhīta na vai paramārthaikatānatvād abhidhānaniyamaḥ kiṃ tūpādānaviśeṣād ity api vārtam avikalpe 'pi tathaiva prasaṅgāt tad evam avadhāritātmakaṃ vastu svalakṣaṇam āpanīpadyetanāvaśyam indriyajñānam arthasaṃnidhānam apekṣate viplavābhāvaprasaṅgāt nāpi viśadātmakam eva dūre 'pi tathā pratibhāsaprasaṅgād yathā''rāt na hi ārāde kṣaṇabhaṅgādisāsādhanavacanam anyad vā na kiṃcit satyaṃ syād vaktr'abhipretamātrasūcitvāt pradhāneśvarādisādhanavākyavatsadarthāpratipādanād vā na kṣaṇabhaṅgādisādhanavacanaṃ vipakṣadūṣaṇavacanaṃ vā satyaṃ prasiddhālīkavacanavat dṛśyavikalpyārthākārayoḥ kathaṃcid apy atādātmye svalakṣaṇaṃ sarvathānavadhāritalakṣaṇaṃ dānādicetodharmādikṣaṇavat kathaṃ saṃśītim ativarteta vikalpānāṃ cāvadhāsnuviṣayatvāt so 'yam avikalpetararāśyor arthetaraviṣayatvam anyad vā svāṃśamātrāvalambinā vikalpāntareṇa pratyetīti suparibodhaprajño devānāṃ priyaḥsvata eva vikalpasaṃvidāṃ nirṇaye svalakṣaṇaviṣayo 'pi vikalpaḥ syāt parataś ced anavasthānād apratipattiḥ ato 'rthavikalpo 'pi mā bhūd ity andhakalpaṃ jagat syāt na cāyaṃ parokṣabuddhivādam atiśete svayam anirṇītena nāmātmanā buddhir arthaṃ vyavasthāpayatīti suvyavasthitaṃ tattvam na vai svarūpaṃ pararūpaṃ vā buddhir adhyavasyati nirviṣayatvād dhānteḥ idam ato bhrāntataraṃ bahir antaś ca sadbhāvāsiddheḥ svaparasvabhāvapratipattiśūnyena svaparapakṣasādhanadūṣaṇavyavasthāṃ pratyetīti kim api mahādbhutam astitvanāstitvaikatvānekatvavat pṛthaktvetaraparasparapratyanīkasvabhāvadvayasaṃbhavo 'pi mā bhūd vipratiṣedhāt na khalu sarvātmanā viruddhadharmādhyāso 'sti tadanyonyavidhipratiṣedhalakṣaṇatvād vandhyāsutavatsarvathānabhilāpyatattvādhigame 'pi yad etadanabhilāpyaṃ tattvam iti tadvyāhanyate pūrvavat ekatvapṛthakatve naikāntataḥ staḥ pratyakṣādivirodhād iti spaṣṭayati pṛthaktvaikatve tathābhūte na stām ekatvapṛthaktvarahitatvād vyomakusumādivatsāpekṣatve hi tad evaikyaṃ pṛthaktvam ity aviruddhaṃsapakṣavipakṣayor bhāvābhāvābhyāṃ sādhanavatsvabhedair vā saṃvedanavat svārambhakāvayavair vā ghaṭādivattādṛśaṃ hi sādhanaṃ svārthakriyāyāḥ tadantareṇāpi pāṭhāntaram idaṃ bahu saṃgṛhītaṃ bhavati kaścid āha sarvārthānāṃ samānapariṇāme 'pi katham aikyaṃ bhedānāṃ svabhāvasāṅkaryānupapatteḥ yathaikabhedasya svabhāvavicchedābhāvātanyathaikaṃ sad anyad asat syāt tataḥ samañjasaṃ sarvam ekaṃ sadaviśeṣād ititasyaiva sato dravyādibhedāt pṛthaktvam udāharaṇaṃ pūrvavat vidhipratiṣedhadharmāṇāṃ satām eva vivakṣetarābhyāṃ yogas tadarthibhiḥ kriyeta anyathārthaniṣpatter abhāvāt upacāramātraṃ tu syāt na cāgnir māṇavaka ity upacārāt pākādāv upayujyate tadekaikaśaḥ parasparavyāvṛttayo 'pi pariṇāmaviśeṣā pramāṇam avisaṃvādi jñānam anadhigatārthādhigamalakṣaṇatvātad evaṃ sati bhedam abhedaṃ vā nānyonyarahitaṃ viṣayīkaroti pramāṇam na hi bahir antar vā svalakṣaṇaṃ sāmānyalakṣaṇaṃ vā tathaivopalabhāmahe yathaikāntavādibhir āmnāyatesūkṣmasthūlākārāṇāṃ sthūlasūkṣmasvabhāvavyatirekeṇa pratyakṣādāv apratibhāsanāt tatra svabhāvāntarasya prādhānyavivakṣāyām ākārāntarasya guṇabhāvaḥ syāt ghaṭo 'yaṃ paramāṇavo rūpādayo veti sadasadekatvapṛthaktvaikāntapratiṣedhānantaraṃ nityatvaikāntapratikṣepaḥ kathapūrvāparasvabhāvaparihārāv āptilakṣaṇām arthakriyāṃ kauṭasthye 'pi bruvāṇaḥ katham anunmattaḥ kārakajñāpakahetuvyāpārāsaṃbhavātpariṇāmavivartadharmāvasthāvikārāṇāṃ svabhāvaparyāyatvāt tad etadvināśotpattinivāraṇam abuddhipūrvakaṃ pratyakṣādivirodhāt kṣaṇikaikāntavat atha mataṃ pramāṇakārakāṇi vyavasthitam eva bhāvaṃ vyañjayanti cakṣurādivat svārtham tato na kiñcid vipratiṣiddhaviṣayaviśeṣavijñānādeḥ śāśvatatvān na kiñcid vyaktyarthaṃ paśyāmaḥ kathaṃcid apūrvotpattau tadekāntavirodhāttadabhāve vikāryānupapatteḥ na vai kiṃcid viruddhaṃ kāryakāraṇabhāvābhyupagamād ity anālocitasiddhāntaṃ na tāvat sataḥ kāryatvaṃ caitanyavatnāpy asataḥ siddhāntavirodhād gaganakusumādivatnāparam ekāntaprakārāntaram asti vivartādeḥ pūrvottarasvabhāvapradhvaṃsotpattilakṣaṇatvāttad etat trailokyaṃ vyakter apaiti nityatvapratiṣedhāt apetam apy asti vināśapratiṣedhād ity anekāntoktir andhasarpabilapraveśanyāyam anusarati naitat prekṣāpūrvakāribhir āśrayaṇīyaṃ puṇyapāpapretyabhāvabandhamokṣavikalparahitatvān nairātmyādivat na caitat kvacid ekānte saṃbhavati kṣaṇakṣayaikāntadarśanam ahitam asaṃbhavatpretyabhāvāditvād ucchedaikāntavad dhrauvyaikāntābhyupagamavad vā na bhinnakālakṣaṇānām asaṃbhadvāsanatvād akāryakāraṇavatna vinaṣṭaṃ kāraṇam asattvāc ciratarātītavatsamanantaratve 'py abhāvāviśeṣāt na ca pūrvasyottaraṃ kāryaṃ tadasaty eva hi bhāvād vastvantaravad atikrāntatamana hi samarthe 'smin sati svayam anutpitsoḥ paścād bhavatas tatkāryatvaṃ samanantaratvaṃ vā nityavat kāraṇābhāvāviśeṣe 'pi kāryotpattisamayaniyamāvakḷptau kasyacit kauṭasthye 'pi tatkaraṇasamarthasadbhāvābhede 'pi kāryajanmanaḥ kālaniyamaḥ kin na syāt viśeṣābhāvāt tathā cākasmikatvaṃ syātubhayatrāviśeṣeṇa kathaṃcid anupayoge 'pi kvacid vyapadeśakalpanāyām anyatrāpi kiṃ na bhavetkṣaṇasthitir eko 'pi bhāvo 'nekasvabhāvaś citrakāryatvān nānārthavat na hi kāraṇaśaktibhedam antareṇa kāryanānātvaṃ yuktaṃ rūpādijñānavatanyathā rūpāder nānātvaṃ na sidhyet cakṣurādisāmagrībhedāt tajjñānanirbhāsabhedo 'vakalpyeta yugapadekārthopanibaddhadṛṣṭīnām api bhavitavyam eva pratibhāsabhedena kāraṇasāmagrībhedāt anyathā darśanabhedo 'pi mā bhūtpratyāsannetarayor vaiśadyetaranirbhāsopalabdheḥ seyam ubhayataḥ pāśārajjuḥsakṛt kāraṇasvabhāvabhedam antareṇa yadi kāryanānātvaṃ kramaśo 'pi kasyacid apekṣitasahakāriṇaḥ kāryasantitaḥ kiṃ na syāt sahakāriṇas taddhetusvabhāvam abhedayanto 'pi kāryahetavaḥ syuḥ kṣaṇakṣayavat na hi kādācitkāni tattatkartuṃ samarthānīti sthirorthas tatkaraṇasvabhāvaṃ jahāti tadbuddhipūrvakatvābhāvāt kṣaṇikasāmagrīsannipatitaikakāraṇāntaravatkalpayitvāpi svahetuprakṛtiṃ bhāvanāṃ svaprakṛtir avaśyam anveṣyā tatsvabhāvavaśāt tatkāraṇaprakṛtivyavasthāpanāt tad ayam akāraṇo 'pi svabhāvaniyato 'rthaḥ syāt yad yad bhāvaṃ pratyanapekṣaṃ tat tad bhāvaniyatam yathā vināśaṃ pratyanyānapekṣaṃ vinaśvaram tathaiva sthitiṃ pratyanapekṣaṃ sthāsnu taddhetor akiñcitkaratvāt tadvyatiriktāvyatiriktākaraṇāt ityādi sarvaṃ samānammādau sthitidarśanāc chabdavidyutpradīpāder ante 'pi sthiter anumānaṃ yuktam anyathānte kṣayadarśanād ādau tatpratipattir asamañjasaiva tādṛśaḥ kāraṇādarśane 'pi kathaṃcid upādānānumānavat tatkāryasantānasthitir adṛṣṭāpy anumīyetatasmāt kathaṃcana sthitimataḥ pratikṣaṇaṃ vivarto 'pi nānyathāprabhavāder ayogāt kutaḥ pretyabhāvādiḥsaty api hetuphalabhāve 'kāraṇakāryāntaravatsantatir na syād atādātmyāviśeṣāttatsvabhāvaviśeṣāvakḷptau tādātmye ko 'paritoṣaḥvirodhasya sarvathāpy aparihāryatvāttatsaṃtānāpekṣayā pretyabhāvādi mā maṃstajñānajñeyayoḥ pratikṣaṇaṃ vilakṣaṇatvāt na vai pratyabhijñānādiḥ puruṣāntaravad arthāntaravac ca tataḥ karmaphalasaṃbandho 'pi nānāsaṃtānavad aniyamān na yuktim avatarati tatsūktaṃ 'kṣaṇikapakṣo buddhimadbhir anādaraṇīyaḥ sarvathārthakriyāvirodhān nityatvaikāntavat saty eva kāraṇe yadi kāryaṃ trailokyam ekakṣaṇavartti syāttataḥ saṃtānābhāvāt pakṣāntarāsaṃbhavāc ca iti sthitam eva kathaṃcit sataḥ kāryatvam upādānasyottarībhavanātsakṛd api viruddhadharmādhyāsānirākṛtetathā cānvayavyatirekapratīter bhāvasvabhāvanibandhanāyāḥ kiṃ phalam apalāpena tadanyataranirākṛtāv ubhayanirākṛtir abhedāt tan nāsatkāryaṃ sarvathāpy anutpādaprasaṅgāt khakusumava na tādṛkkāraṇavat sarvathā'bhūtatvād vandhyāsutavat kathaṃcid asthitānutpannatvād iti yojyam saty api prabhavalakṣaṇe pūrvapūrvasyottarībhavanaṃ mṛtpiṇḍasthāsakośakuśūlādiṣu sakalalokasākṣikaṃ svamanīṣikābhiḥ sadṛśāparāparotpattivipralambhān avadhāraṇāv akḷptim āracayatāṃ mopādānaniyamo bhūt kāraṇāntaravat tadanvayābhāvāviśeṣāt sarvathā vailakṣaṇyātniranvayasyāpi tādṛśī prakṛtir ātmānaṃ kāraṇāntarebhyo yayā viśeṣayatīti cen na atyantaviśeṣānupalabdheḥ tadaviśeṣādarśane sarvathāndhyaṃ syāttasmād iyam asya prakṛtir yayā pūrvottarasvabhāvahānopādānādhikaraṇasthitiṃ pratikṣaṇaṃ bibharti yato 'yam upādānaniyamaḥ siddhaḥathāpi kathaṃcid upādānaniyamaḥ kalpyeta kāryajanmani katham āśvāsaḥtadatyantāsataḥ kāryasyotpattes tantubhyaḥ paṭādir eva na punaḥ kuṭādir iti nirhetuko niyamaḥ syāt pūrvapūrvaviśeṣād uttarottaraniyamakalpanāyām anupādāne 'pi syāttathā'darśanam ahetur atraiva vicārātkathaṃcid āhitaviśeṣatantūnāṃ paṭasvabhāvapratilambhopalambhāt tadanyataravidhipratiṣedhaniyamanimittātyayāt pratīter alam apalāpena tasmād upalabdhilakṣaṇaprāptānupalabdhir ananvayasyaiva na punar ubhayarūpasya ity alaṃ prasaṅgena vilakṣaṇānām atyantabhede 'pi svabhāvataḥ kilāsaṃkīrṇāḥ saṃtatayaḥ karmaphalasaṃbandhādinibandhanaṃ śaśaviṣāṇasyeva vartulatvam ācaritaṃ kaś cetanaḥ śraddadhīta pratyakṣeṇa pratīte 'rthe yadi paryanuyujyate saṃtānibhyo 'nanyaḥ saṃtānaḥ anyathātmano nāmāntarakaraṇātnityānityavikalpānupapatteapi tu saṃvṛttyā'nyeṣv ananyavyavahārāttvam uparicitam iti vyalīkavyavahāre 'pi viśeṣānupapatteḥ saṃbandhaniyamābhāvas tadavasthaḥ upacāras tu narte mukhyāt yathāgnir māṇavakaḥ iti skhalati hi tatrānanyapratyayaḥ parīkṣā'kṣamatvāt ata evāmukhyārthaḥ prastutāsādhanam sattvaikatvādiṣu sarvadharmeṣu sadasadubhayādicatuṣkoṭer abhidhātum aśakyatvāt saṃtānatadvator api bhedābhedobhayānubhayacatuṣkoṭer anabhilāpyatvam sattve tadutpattivirodhād asattve punar ucchedapakṣopakṣiptadoṣād ubhaye cobhayadoṣaprasaṅgād anubhayapakṣe 'pi vikalpānupapatter ityādi na hi sarvāthānabhilāpyatve 'nabhilāpyacatuṣkoṭer abhidheyatvaṃ yuktaṃ kathaṃcid abhilāpyatvaprasaṅgāt api caivaṃ sati sarvavikalpātītam avastv eva syād anyatra vācoyukteḥ dravyakṣetrakālabhāvāntaraiḥ pratiṣedhaḥ saṃjñinaḥ sataḥ kriyatepunar asataḥ tadvidhipratiṣedhāviṣayatvāt na caitadviruddhaṃ svalakṣaṇam anirdeśyam ityādivatabhāvo 'nabhilāpya ity api bhāvābhidhānād ekāntavṛttāv eva doṣodbhāvābhidhānair api kathaṃcid abhāvābhidhānāt ced bhāvavyatirekavācibhir api vākyatām āpannair bhāvābhidhānān nātra kiṃcid viruddhamataḥ sūktaṃ 'yad avastu tad anabhilāpyaṃ yathā na kiṃcit yat punar abhilāpyaṃ tad vastveva yathā khapuṣpābhāvaḥ' anyasya kaivalyam itarasya vaikalyaṃ svabhāvaparabhāvābhyāṃ bhāvābhāvavyavasthiter bhāvasya punar apy avaktavyavādinaṃ paryanuyuñjmahe sarve dharmā yadi vāggocarātītāḥ katham ime 'bhilapyante iti saṃvṛttyāvikalpānupapatteḥ svarūpeṇa cet katham anabhilāpyāḥpararūpeṇa cet tat teṣāṃ svarūpaṃ syād ye kevalaṃ vācaḥ skhalanaṃ gamyeta ubhayapakṣe 'py ubhayadoṣānuṣaṅgaḥ tattvena cet katham avaktavyāḥmṛṣātvena cet katham uktāḥtad alam apratiṣṭhitamithyāvikalpaudhaiḥ arthasyānabhilāpyatvam abhāvād vaktur aśakter anavabodhād vā prakārāntarāsaṃbhavātbuddhikaraṇapāṭavāpekṣatvātna ca sarvatra tadabhāvo yuktaḥ tato nairātmyān na viśeṣyeta madhyamapakṣāvalambanāt aśakyasamayatvād anabhilāpyam artharūpam iti cen na kathaṃcic chakyasaṃketatvād dṛśyavikalpyasvabhāvatvāt paramārthasya pratibhāsabhede 'pīty uktamdviṣayaviṣayiṇor bhinnakālatvaṃ pratyakṣe 'pi samānaṃviparītapratipattiḥ anyatrāpi darśanavikalpayoḥ paramārthaikatānatvābhāve na kiṃcit siddham dṛṣṭasyānirṇayād adṛṣṭakalpanād adṛṣṭanirṇayasya pradhānādivikalpāviśeṣāt saṃtānāder ayogād iti kartavyatāsu cikīrṣor vināśāt kartur acikīrṣutvāt tadubhayavinirmuktasya bandhāt tadavinirmukteś ca yamaniyamāder avidheyatvaṃ kurvato vā yat kiṃcana kāritvaṃ vināśamabhyupagamya kasyacid yadi hiṃsakatvaṃ brūyāt katham aviklavaḥ tathā nirvāṇaṃ saṃtānasamūlatalaprahāṇalakṣaṇaṃ samyaktvasaṃjñāsaṃjñivākkāyakarmāntarvyāyāmā'jīvasmṛtisamādhilalakṣaṇāṣṭāṅgahetukaṃś cānyonyaṃ vipratiṣedhāt visabhāgasaṃtānotpādanāya hetusannidhir na pradhvaṃsāya pūrvasya svarasato nivṛtter iti cet sa punar uttarotpādaḥ svarasataḥ kin na syāt d vināśahetuvat svarasotpannam api tadanantarabhāvitvāt tena vyapadiśyate iti ced itaratra samānam paramārthatas tadahetukatve pratipattrabhiprāyāviśeṣe 'pi svataḥprahāṇavādī na śakro 'tyātmānaṃ nyāyamārgam anukārayituṃsarvadā virūpakāryatvātsabhāgavisabhāgāvakḷptiṃ pratipattrabhiprāyavaśāt samanugacchan sahetukaṃ vināśaṃ tataḥ kiṃ nānujānīyāt na ca samanantarakṣaṇayor nāśotpādau pṛthagbhūtau mithaḥ svāśrayato vā yau samaṃ sahetuketarau stāṃ pratipattyabhidhānabhede 'pi grāhyagrāhakākāravat svabhāvapratibandhāt saṃjñāc chandamatismṛtyādivat saty api bhede samakālabhāvinoḥ kathaṃ sahakārī punar anyatarasyaiva hetur ahetur vākāryarūpāder iva kāraṇamtasmāt kāryakāraṇayor utpādavināśau na sahetukāhetukau sahabhāvād rasādivat r na tasya kiṃcid bhavati na bhavaty eva kevalam iti cebhavaty eva kevalam iti samānaṃtasmād ayaṃ vināśahetur bhāvam abhāvīkarotīti na punar akiṃcitkaraḥ kāryotpattihetur vā yady abhāvaṃ na bhāvīkuryād bhāvaṃ karotīti kṛtasya kāraṇāyogād akiṃcitkaraḥtad atatkaraṇādivikalpasaṃhatir ubhayatra sadṛśī rūpavedanāvijñānasaṃjñāsaṃskāraskandhasaṃtatayo 'saṃskṛtāḥ saṃvṛtitvāt yat punaḥ saṃskṛtaṃ tat paramārthasat yathā svalakṣaṇaṃ na tathā skandhasaṃtatayaḥ tataḥ sthityutpattivipattirahitāḥ tato visabhāgasaṃtānotpattaye vināśahetur iti poplūyate nityatvetaraikāntadvayam apy ayuktam aṅgīkartuṃ virodhād yugapajjīvitamaraṇavatnityatvānityatvābhyām ata evānabhilāpyam ity ayuktaṃ tadekānte 'nabhilāpyokter anupapatteḥ tadekāntadvaye 'pi parāmarśapratyayānupapatter anekāntaḥ sthityabhāve hi pramātur anyena dṛṣṭaṃ nāparaḥ pratyabhijñātum arhatisaṃbandhaviśeṣe 'pi pitreva dṛṣṭaṃ putrosann apy atiśayaḥ pṛthaktvaṃ na nirākaroti tad evānyatrāpi pratyavamarśābhāvanibandhanaṃ ekasaṃtatyā pratyabhijñānaṃ pratyabhijñānabalāc caikasaṃtatir iti vyaktam itaretarāśrayaṇam etat na ca pakṣāntare samānaṃ sthiter anubhavanāttadvibhramakalpanāyām utpādavināśayor anāśvāsaḥ tathānubhavanirṇayānupalabdher yathā svalakṣaṇaṃ parigīyate tatraitat syāt svabhāvāvinirbhāge 'pi na saṃkalanaṃ darśanakṣaṇāntaravatsatyam ekānte evāyaṃ doṣaḥtataḥ kṣaṇikaṃ kālabhedātdarśanapratyabhijñānasamayayor abhede tadubhayābhāvaprasaṅgāt kiṃ ca pakṣadvaye 'pi jñānāsaṃcārānuṣaṅgād anekāntasiddhiḥm apoddhārakalpanayā kathaṃcij jātyantare 'pi vastuni pratyabhijñānādinibandhane sthityādayo vyavasthāpyeranna ca svabhāvabhedopalambhe 'pi nānātvavirodhasaṅkarānavasthānuṣaṅgaś cetasi grāhyagrāhakākāravat calācalātmakaṃ vastu kṛtakākṛtakātmakatvā na hi cetanasyānyasya vā sarvathotpattiḥ sadādisāmānyasvabhāvena sata evātiśayāntaropalambhād ghaṭavat kathaṃcid utpādavigamātmakatvād ityādi yojyam kāryakāraṇayor utpādavināśau kathaṃcid bhinnau bhinnalakṣaṇasaṃbandhitvāt sukhaduḥkhavatsyād abhinnau tadabhedasthitajātisaṃkhyādyātmakatvāt puruṣavat utpādavigamadhrauvyalakṣaṇaṃ syād bhinnam askhalannānāpratīteḥ rūpādivat utpādaḥ kevalo nāsti sthitivigamarahitatvād viyatkusumavat tathā sthitivināśau pratipattavyau pratītibhedam itthaṃ samarthayateghaṭaṃ bhaṅktvā maulinir vartane ghaṭamaulisuvarṇārthī tannāśotpādasthitiṣu viṣādaharṣaudāsīnyasthitim ayaṃ janaḥ pratipadyate iti nirhetukatve tadanupapatteḥ lokottaradṛṣṭāntenāpi tatra pratītinānātvaṃ vināśotpādasthitisādhanaṃ pratyāyayati dadhipayo 'gorasavratānāṃ kṣīradadhyubhayavarjanāt kṣīrātmanā naśyaddadhyātmanotpadyamānaṃ gorasasvabhāvena tiṣṭhatīti tatas tattvaṃ trayātmakam avayavaguṇasāmānyatadvatāṃ vyatirekaikāntamātraśaṅkya pratividhatte tatra ekam anekatra vartamānaṃ pratyadhikaraṇaṃ na tāvad ekadeśena niṣpradeśatvāt nāpi sarvātmanā avayavyādibahutvaprasaṅgāt athāpi kathaṃcit pradeśavattvaṃtatrāpi vṛttivikalpo 'navasthā ca tad ekam eva na syād iti n nāyaṃ prasaṅgo 'nekānte kathaṃcit tādātmyād vedyavedakākārajñānavat tasmād aṅgāṅgyāder atyantabhedāt taddeśakālaviśeṣeṇāpi vṛttiḥ prasajyeta ghaṭavṛkṣavat varṇādibhir anaikāntikatvam ity ayuktaṃ tadvyatirekaikāntānabhyupagamāt py avayavāvayavinoḥ samānadeśo vṛttir na bhavet mūrtimattvāt kharakarabhavat kāryakāraṇādīnāṃ parasparaṃ pratibandhāt kutaḥ svātantryaṃ yato deśakālādibhedena vṛttir iti cetsamavāyasya samavāyāntareṇa vṛttāv anavasthāprasaṅgāt svato vṛttau dravyādes tathopapatteḥ saṃbaddhaḥ samavāyaḥ kathaṃ dravyādibhiḥ saha varteta yataḥ pṛthaksiddhir na syāt pratyekaṃ parisamāpter āśrayābhāve sāmānyasamavāyayor asaṃbhavād utpattivipattimatsu kathaṃ vṛttiḥ'utpitsupradeśe prāgnāsī nānyato yāti svayam eva paścād bhavatiāśrayavināśe ca na naśyatipratyekaṃ parisamāptaṃ ca' iti vyāhatam etat sāmānyasamavāyayoḥ parasparataḥ saṃbandhāsaṃbhavāt tābhyām artho 'pi na saṃbaddhaḥ tatas trīṇy api nātmānaṃ bibhṛyuḥ kurmaromādivat kāryakāraṇāder abhedaikānte dhāraṇakarṣaṇādayaḥ paramāṇūnāṃ saṃghāte 'pi mā bhūvan vibhāgavat nāhito 'pi viśeṣo vibhāgaikāntaṃ nirākarotitata evānyatrāpi tan neṣyate pṛthivyādibhūtacatuṣṭayasthitir evaṃ vibhramamātraṃ prāpnotiiṣṭatvād adoṣa iti cen na pratyakṣādivirodhāt cakṣurādibuddhau sthūlaikākāraḥ pratibhāsamānaḥ paramāṇubhedaikāntavādaṃ pratihanti tadviparītānupalabdhir vā tatraitatsyādbhrāntaikatvādipratipattir iti tan na paramāṇūnāṃ cakṣurādibuddhau svabhāvam anarpayatāṃ kāryaliṅgābhāvāt tatsvabhāvābhyupagamānupapatteḥtaddvayābhāvāt tadvṛttayo jātiguṇakriyādayo na syur vyomakusumasaurabhavat r āśrayāśrayiṇor ekatve tadanyatarābhāvaḥtataḥ śeṣābhāvas tatsvabhāvāvinābhāvitvād bandhyāsutarūpasaṃsthānavattathā sati dvitvasaṃkhyāpi na syāttatra saṃvṛtikalpanā śūnyatvaṃ nātivartate paramārthaviparyayād vyalīkavacanārthavat avayavetarādīnāṃ vyatirekāvyatirekaikāntau na vai yaugapadyena saṃbhavinau virodhāt tathānabhilāpyataikānte svavacanavirodhas tadabhilāpyatvātsyādvādābhyupagame tu na doṣaḥ kathaṃcit tathābhāvopalabdheḥ yat pratibhāsabhede 'py avyatiriktaṃ tad ekaṃ yathā vedyavedakajñānaṃ rūpādidravyaṃ vā mecakajñānaṃ vā tatā ca dravyaparyāyau na vyatiricyete tadanyatarāpāye 'rthasyānupapatteḥ upayogaviśeṣād rūpādijñānanirbhāsabhedaḥ svaviṣayaikatvaṃ na vai nirākaroti sāmagrībhede yugapadekārthopanibaddhaviśadetarajñānavattad evaṃ sati virodhādyupālambhaś caturasradhiyāṃ mano manāgapi na prīṇayati varṇāder apy abhāvaprasaṅgāt ty ekatvānekatvaikāntau nānyonyaṃ vijayetebhāvasvabhāvapratibandhāt yat parasparaviviktasvabhāvapariṇāmasaṃjñāsaṃkhyāprayojanādikaṃ tadbhinnalakṣaṇaṃ yathā rūpādi tathā ca dravyaparyāyauviruddhadharmādhyāsāskhaladbuddhipratibhāsabhedābhyāṃ ca vastusvabhāvabhedasiddheḥ anyathā'nānaikaṃ jagat syāt tadabhyupagame pakṣāntarāsaṃbhavātataḥ kārikādvayena sāmānyaviśeṣātmānam arthaṃ saṃhṛtya tatrāpekṣānapekṣaikāntapratikṣepāyāha dharmadharmiṇor āpekṣikī siddhiḥ pratyakṣabuddhau tadanavabhāsanād dūretarādivat tayor anyonyāpekṣaikānte svabhāvataḥ pratiṣṭhitasyaikatarasyāpy abhāve 'nyatarābhāvād ubhayaṃ na prakalpyeta tata dūrāsann abhāvayor api svabhāvavivartaviśeṣābhāve samānadeśāder api prasaṅgāt tad imau svabhāvataḥ stām anyathetaretarāśrayadoṣānuṣaṅgāt sarvatasyānapekṣāpakṣe 'pi nānvayavyatirekau syātāṃ bhedābhedayor anyonyāpekṣātmakatvād viśeṣetarabhāvasya anantaraikāntayor yugapadvivakṣā mā bhūd vipratiṣedhāt sadasadekāntavattathānabhidheyatvaikānte 'pīti kṛtaṃ vistareṇa na kevalaṃ sāmānyaviśeṣayoḥ svalakṣaṇam apekṣitaparasparāvinābhāvalakṣaṇaṃ svataḥsiddhalakṣaṇam api tu dharmadharmiṇor apikartṛkarmabodhyabodhakavat upeyatattvaṃ vyavasthāpyopāyatattvaṃ vyavasthāpyate kṛṣyādiṣu tadupāyayuktyā yan na ghaṭām upaiti tad ahaṃ dṛṣṭvāpi na śraddadhe ityāder ekāntasya bahulaṃ darśanāt pratyakṣatadābhāsayor api vyavasthitir anumānāt anyathā saṃkaravyatikaropakathaṃcit sākṣātkaraṇam antareṇana kvacid anumānaṃ pravartetakiṃ punaḥ śāstropadeśāt na caite yuktinirapekṣāḥ parasparaviruddhārthatattvasiddhiprasaṅgāt na ca pratyakṣānumānābhyām antareṇopadeśaṃ jyotirjñānādipratipattiḥ yo yatrāvisaṃvādakaḥ sa tatrāptas tato 'paro 'nāptaḥtattvapratipādanam avisaṃvādaḥ tadarthajñānāt tenātīndriye jaiminir anyo vā śrutimātrāvalambī naivāptas tadarthāparijñānāt tathāgatavat na hi tādṛśo 'tīndriyārthajñānam asti doṣāvaraṇakṣayātiśayābhāvāt śruteḥ paramārthavittvaṃ tataḥ śruter avisaṃvādanam ity anyonyasaṃśritam svataḥ śruter na vai prāmāṇyam acetanatvād ghaṭavat sannikarṣādibhir anaikāntikatvam ayuktaṃ tatprāmāṇyānabhyupagamāathāpi kathaṃcit tatpramāṇatvaṃ syād avisaṃvādakatvāt śruter ayuktam eva tadabhāvāt tenopacāramātram api na syāt tadarthabuddhi āptavacanaṃ tu pramāṇavyapadeśabhāk tatkāraṇakāryatvāttadatīndriyārthadarśanotpattes tadarthajñānotpādanāc canaitat śruteḥ saṃbhavati sarvathāptānukteḥ piṭakatrayavat vaktṛdoṣāt tādṛśo 'prāmāṇyaṃ tadabhāvāc chruteḥ prāmāṇyam iti cet kuto 'yaṃ vibhāgaḥ sidhyet m abhyupagamānabhyupagamābhyāṃ kvacit pauruṣeyatvam anyad vā vyavasthāpayatīti suvyavasthitaṃ tattvat etena kartṛsmaraṇābhāvādayaḥ pratyuktāḥvedetarayor aviśeṣāt itaratra buddho vakteti cet tatra kamalodbhavādir iti kathaṃ na samānam sudūram api gattvā tadaṅgīkaraṇetaramātre vyavatiṣṭheta vedādhyayanavad itarasyāpi sarvadādhyayanapūrvādhyayanatvaprakḷptau na vaktraṃ vakrībhavati tadatiśayāntarāṇāṃ ca śakyakriyatvād itaratrāpi mantraśakter api darśanāt siddhe 'pi tadanāditve pauruṣeyatvābhāve vā katham avisaṃvādakatvaṃ pratyetavyam mlecchavyavahārādes tādṛśo bahulam upalambhāt kāraṇadoṣanivṛtteḥ kāryadoṣābhāvakalpanāyāṃ pauruṣeyasyaiva vacanasya doṣanivṛttiḥ kartur vītadoṣasyāpi saṃbhavāt tadadhyetṛvyākhyātṛśrotṝṇāṃ rāgādimattvānetarasyaiti niśśaṅkaṃ naścetaḥ vaktṛguṇāpekṣaṃ vacanasyāvisaṃvādakatvaṃ cakṣurjñānavattaddoṣānuvidhānāttato 'nāptavacanān nārthajñānam andharūpadarśanavat tatra yad eva yuktiyuktaṃ tad eva pratipattuṃ pratipādayituṃ vā śakyaṃ m agnir himasya bheṣajaṃityādivat nāgnihotrādivākyasādhanaṃsiddhe punar āptavacanatve yathā hetuvādas tathājñāvādo 'pi pramāṇaṃnanu cāpauruṣeyatvavadāptaśāsanam apy aśakyavyavasthaṃ uktam atra sarvathaikāntavādānāṃ syādvādapratihatatvād iti tatrāptiḥ sākṣātkaraṇādiguṇaḥ saṃpradāyāvicchedo vā anyathāndhaparamparayā pratipatteḥ tajjanmakāryaprabhavādi vedyavedakalakṣaṇam anaikāntikam ādarśya saṃvittir eva khaṇḍaśaḥ pratibhāsamānā vyavahārāya kalpyate ity abhiniveśe 'pi pramāṇaṃ mṛgyam na kṣaṇikatvam ananyavedyatvaṃ nānāsaṃtānatvam iti svatas tāvan na sidhyati bhrānteḥtathātmasaṃvedane 'pi vyavasāyavaikalye pramāṇāntarāpekṣayānupalambhakalpatvāt na hi tathā buddhayaḥ saṃvidrate yathā vyāvarṇyantenāpi parataḥsaṃbandhapratipatter ayogāt svāṃśamātrāvalambinā mithyāvikalpena prakṛtatattvavyavasthāpane bahirartheṣv apy avirodhāt kathaṃcid atra vedyalakṣaṇaṃ yadi vyavatiṣṭhetatatprakṛtaṃ kṛtaṃ syān nānyathā na cānuktadoṣaṃ lakṣaṇam astitatsaṃbhave nānyatratadasaṃbhavo 'bhidheyaḥ tatsvaparapakṣayoḥ siddhyasiddhyarthaṃ kiṃcit kathaṃcit kutaścid avitathajñānam ādaraṇīyam anyathā'śeṣavibhramāsiddheḥetena yad grāhyagrāhakākāraṃ tat sarvaṃ vibhrāntaṃ yathā svapnendrajālādijñānaṃ tathā ca pratyakṣādikam iti prativihitaṃ veditavyaṃ sahopalambhaniyamād abhedo nīlataddhiyor dvicandradarśanavad ity atrārthasaṃvidoḥ sahadarśanam upetyaikatvaikāntaṃ sādhayan katham avadheyābhilāpaḥsvābhilāpābhāvaṃ vā svavācā pradarśayan kathaṃ svasthaḥ pṛthaganupalambhād bhedābhāvamātraṃ sādhayetac cāsiddhaṃ saṃbandhāsiddher abhāvayoḥ kharaśṛṅgavat etenāsahānupalambhād abhedasādhanaṃ pratyuktaṃ bhāvābhāvayoḥ saṃbandhāsiddhetādātmyatadutpattyor arthasvabhāvaniyamāt siddhe 'pi pratiṣedhaikānte vijñaptimātraṃ na sidhyet tadasādhanāt tatsiddhau tadāśrayaṃ dūṣaṇam anuṣajyetatadekopalambhaniyamo 'py asiddhaḥ sādhyasādhanayor aviśeṣāttathekajñānagrāhyatvaṃ dravyaparyāyaparamāṇubhir anaikāntikampareṣām ananyavedyatvam asiddhaṃ ekakṣaṇavartisaṃvittīnāṃ sākalyena sahopalambhaniyamād vyabhicārī hetuḥ tathotpatter eva saṃvedanatvātdṛṣṭānto 'pi sādhyasādhanavikalaḥ tathopalambhābhedayor arthe pratiniyamād dhāntau tadasaṃbhavāt nanu cāsahānupalambhamātrād abhedamātraṃ kathaṃcid arthasvabhāvānavabodhaprasaṅgāt sarvavijñānasvalakṣaṇakṣaṇakṣayaviviktasantativibhramasvabhāvānumiteḥ sākalyenaikatvaprasaṅgātekārthasaṃgatadṛṣṭayaḥ paracittavido vā nāvaśyaṃ tadbuddhiṃ tadarthaṃ vā saṃvidantīti hetor asiddhiḥsahopalambhaniyamaś ca syād bhedaś ca syātsvahetupratiniyamasaṃbhavāttasmād ayaṃ mithyādṛṣṭiḥ parapratyāyanāya śāstraṃ vidadhānaḥ paramārthataḥ saṃvidāno vā vacanaṃ tattvajñānaṃ ca pratiruṇaddhīti na kiṃcid etat asādhanāṅgavacanād adoṣodbhāvanāc ca nigrahārhatvāt yat kiṃcic cetas tatsarvaṃ sākṣātparamparayā vā bahirarthapratibaddham yathāgnipratyakṣetaravedanam svapnadarśanam api cetaḥ tathā viṣayākāranirbhāsāt sādhyadṛṣṭāntau pūrvavaditi atrāpi lokasamayapratibaddhānāṃ parasparaviruddhaśabdabuddhīnāṃ svārthasaṃbandhaḥ paramārthataḥ prasajyeta antarbahirjñeyaikāntayoḥ sahābhyupagamo viruddhaḥtadavācyatāyām uktivirodhaḥ pūrvavat sarvasaṃvitteḥ svasaṃvedanasya kathaṃcit pramāṇatvopapattes tadapekṣāyāṃ sarvaṃ pratyakṣaṃ na kaścit pramāṇābhāsaḥtathānabhyupapagame 'nyata eva buddher anumānaṃ syāttatrārthajñānam aliṅgaṃ tadaviśeṣeṇāsiddheḥviśeṣe vā tadanyatareṇārthaparisamāpteḥ kiṃ dvitīyena yac cedam arthajñānaṃ tac ced arthasvalakṣaṇaṃ syād vyābhicārād ahetuḥ etenendriyādipratyakṣaṃ pratyuktaṃ tataḥ pratyakṣetarabuddhyavabhāsasya svasaṃvedanāt pratyakṣaviruddhaṃsukhaduḥkhādibuddher apratyakṣatve harṣaviṣādādayo 'pi na syur ātmāntaravat etena pratikṣaṇaṃ niraṃśaṃ saṃvedanaṃ pratyakṣaṃ pratyuktaṃ yathāpratijñam anubhavābhāvāt yathānubhavam anabhyupagamāt sarvatra sarvadā bhrānter apratyakṣatvāviśeṣātkathaṃcid bhrāntāv ekāntahāneḥ vikalpasvasaṃvedane 'pi vikalpānativṛtteḥ tasmāt svasaṃvedanāpekṣayā na kiṃcij jñānaṃ sarvathā pramāṇam bahirarthāpekṣayā tu pramāṇatadābhāsavyavasthā tatsaṃvādakavisaṃvādakatvāt kvacit svarūpe keśamaśakādijñānavat svarūpavyatiriktena śarīrendriyādikalāpena jīvaśabdo 'rthavān ato na kṛtaḥ prakṛtaḥ syād iti viklavollāpamātraṃ lokarūḍheḥ samāśrayaṇātyatrāyaṃ vyavahāro jīvo gatas tiṣṭhatīti vā nātra saṃjñābhipretamātraṃ sūcayati tato 'rthakriyāyāṃ niyamāyogātkaraṇapratipattīnāṃ tadabhāve 'nādaraṇīyatvātsādhanatadābhāsayor anyathā viśeṣāsaṃbhavāt paramparayāpi paramārthaikatānatvaṃ vācaḥ pratipattavyam kvacid vyabhicāradarśanād anāśvāse cakṣurādibuddher apitadābhāsopalabdhekuto dhūmāder agnyādipratipattiḥ kāryakāraṇabhāvasya vyabhicāradarśanātkāṣṭhādijanmano 'gner iva maṇiprabhṛter api bhāvāt tadviśeṣaparīkṣāyāṃr itaratrāpi viśeṣābhāvātr abhisandhivaicitryād abhidhānavyabhicāropalambhe taditarādhyakṣānumānakāraṇasāmagrīśaktivaicitryaṃ paśyatāṃ katham āśvāsaḥ syāt tasmād ayam akṣaliṅgasaṃjñādoṣāviśeṣe 'pi kvaciparituṣyann anyatamapradveṣeṇeśvarāya te parīkṣākleśaleśāsahanāt bhāvopādānasaṃbhave hi samākhyānāmitaropādānaprakḷptiḥbhāvaś cātra harṣaviṣādādyanekākāravivartaḥ pratyātma vedanīyaḥ pratiśarīraṃ bhedātmako 'pratyākhyānārhaḥ pratikṣipantam ātmānaṃ pratibodhayatīti kṛtaṃ prayāsenana hi māyādisamākhyāḥ svārtharahitā viśiṣṭapratipattihetutvāt pramāṇasamākhyāvat hetuvyabhicārāśaṅkāṃ pratyastamayati buddhyādisaṃjñānāṃ tisṛṇām api svavyatiriktavastusaṃbandhadarśanāt tadbuddhīnāṃ catannirbhāsanāt tadviṣayatopapatteḥ bahir arthābhāvād vaktrāditrayaṃ na buddheḥ pṛthagbhūtaṃ tato 'siddhatādidoṣaḥ sādhanasyaiti tan na rūpāder grāhakasya tadvyatiriktavijñānasaṃtānakalāpasya ca svāṃśamātrāvalambinaḥ pramāṇasya vibhramakalpanāyāṃ sākalyenāsiddher antarjñeyābhyupagamavirodhāt tau hi grāhakāpekṣayā bāhyārthau bhrāntāv evakutas tatra heyopādeyavivekaḥ svaparapratipattyarthaṃ sādhanaṃ buddhiśabdātmakaṃ svasaṃvittyaiva parapratipādanāyogāttasya ca sati bahirarthe pramāṇatvam arthaprāptitaḥ sidhyet asati pramāṇābhāsatvam arthānāptitaḥ ititad evaṃ paramārthataḥ sanbahirarthaḥ sādhanadūṣaṇaprayogāt anyathā svapnetarāviśeṣāt kiṃ kena sādhitaṃ dūṣitaṃ ca iti kutaḥ saṃtānāntaram anyad vā taimirikadvayadvicandradarśanavadbhrāntaḥ sarvo vyavahāra ity atrāpi tattvajñānaṃ śaraṇaṃanyathā bahirarthavad abhisaṃhitasyāpi nirākaraṇāpatteḥtathā paramāṇvādidūṣaṇe 'pi pratipattavyaṃanyathā tatkṛtam akṛtaṃ syād iti sarvatra yojyaṃ tad ime vijñānasaṃtānāḥ santi na santīti tattvā'pratipatter dṛṣṭāpahnutiranibandhanaiva dṛśyenātmanā kathaṃcidṛśyānām api paramāṇūnāṃ bahir api samavasthāne vāsanābhedo gamyeta na saṃtānāntaram yogyatā karma pūrvaṃ vā daivam ubhayam adṛṣṭaṃ pauruṣaṃ punar ihaceṣṭitaṃ dṛṣṭam tābhyām arthasiddhiḥ tadanyatarāpāye 'ghaṭanāt pauruṣamātre 'rthādarśanād daivamātre vā samīhānarthakyaprasaṅgāt tad dhi pauruṣaṃ vinā daivasaṃpadā na syāt 'tādṛśī jāyate buddhir vyavasāyaś ca tādṛśaḥ sahāyās tādṛśāḥ santi yādṛśī bhavitavyatāpauruṣāpāditam ititadvyabhicāradarśino na vai śraddadhīran daivetarayoḥ sahaikāntābhyupagame vyāghātād avācyatāyāṃ ca svavacanavirodhāt syādvādanītiḥ tato 'tarkitopasthitam anukūlaṃ pratikūlaṃ vā daivakṛtaṃtadviparītaṃ pauruṣāpāditaṃ apekṣākṛtatvāt tadvyavasthāyāḥ paratra sukhaduḥkhotpādanāt puṇyapāpabandhaikānte katham acetanāḥ kṣīrādayaḥna badhyeran vītarāgāḥtannimittatvā ātmasukhaduḥkhābhyāṃ pāpetaraikāntakṛtānte punar akaṣāyasyāpi dhruvam eva bandhaḥ syāt tato na kaścin moktum arhati tadubhayābhāvāsaṃbhavavāt prastutaikāntadvayasiddhānte vyāhater anabhidheyatāyām anabhidheyābhidhānavirodhāt kathaṃcid eveti yuktam ātmanaḥ parasya vā sukhaduḥkhayor viśuddhisaṃkleśāṅgayor eva puṇyapāpāsravahetutvaṃ na cānyathātiprasaṅgātārtaraudradhyānapariṇāmaḥ saṃkleśas tadabhāvo viśuddhir ātmanaḥ svātmany avasthānam yadi bandho 'yam ajñānān nedānīṃ kaścin mucyate sarvasyaiva kvacid ajñānopapatter jñeyānantyād itiyadi punar jñānanirhrāsād brahmaprāptir ajñānāt sutarāṃ prasajyeta duḥkhanivṛtter iva sukhaprāptiḥ na hi sarvātmanaikasyaikadā jñānastokān mokṣo bahutaś cājñānād bandha ity ekāntayor avirodhaḥ syādvādanyāyavidviṣāṃ sidhyati yena tadubhayaikātmyaṃ syāt mohanīyakarmaprakṛtilakṣaṇād ajñānād yuktaḥ karmabandhaḥtato 'nyato 'pi bandhābhyupagame 'tiprasaṅgāt tathaiva buddher apakarṣān mohanīyaparikṣayalakṣaṇān mokṣyati viparyaye viparyāsād ity adhigantavyaṃ naikasvabhāveśvarakṛtas tatkāryasukhaduḥkhādivaicitryāt na hi kāraṇasyaikarūpatve kāryanānātvaṃ yuktaṃ śālibīḥ jāṅkuravatapariṇāminaḥ sarvathārthakriyā'saṃbhavāt tallakṣaṇatvād vastunaḥ sadbhāvam eva tāvan na saṃbhāvayāmaḥ tatra kāladeśāvasthāsvabhāvabhinnānāṃ tanukaraṇabhuvanādīnāṃ kilāyaṃ karteti mahac citraṃeteneśvarecchā pratyuktāna caitenā syāḥ saṃbandhas tatkṛtopakārānapekṣaṇāttato vyapadeśo 'pi mā bhūt syābhisandher anityatve 'pi samānaprasaṅgaḥsakṛdutpattyādiprasaṅgād vicitratvānupapatter iti tayor ekasvabhāvatve 'pi karmavaicitryāt kāmādiprabhavavaicitryam iti ced yuktam etat kiṃtu neśvarecchābhyāṃ kiṃcit tāvatārthaparisamāpteḥ etena viramyapravṛttisanniveśaviśeṣādibhyaḥ pṛthivyāder buddhimatkāraṇapūrvakatvasādhaneneśvaraprāpaṇaṃ pratyuktaṃprākkāyakaraṇotpatter ātmano dharmādharmayoś ca svayam acetanatvād vicitropabhogayogyatanukaraṇādisaṃpādanakauśalāsaṃbhavāt tannimittam ātmāntaraṃ mṛtpiṇḍakulālavad iti cen natasyāpi vitanukaraṇasya tatkṛter asaṃbhavāttādṛśo 'pi nimittabhāve karmaṇām acetanatve 'pi tannimittatvam apratiṣiddhaṃ sarvathā dṛṣṭāntavyatikramāt sthitvāpravartanārthakriyādi cetanādhiṣṭhānād iti niyame punar īśvarāder api mā bhūt nāyaṃ prasaṅgo buddhimattvād iti cet tata eva tarhi prahīṇatanukaraṇādayaḥ prāṇino mā bhūvan karmaṇo vaicitryād iti cet tarhiteṣām īśvarajñānanimittatve samānaprasaṅgaḥtadanimittatve tanukaraṇāder api tannimittattvaṃ mā bhūd viśeṣābhāvāt evaṃ cārthakriyāder api tābhyām aikāntikatvaṃtataḥ karmabandhaviśeṣavaśāc citrāḥ kāmādayas tataḥ karmavaicitrya na hi bhāvasvabhāvopālambhaḥ karaṇīyo 'nyatrāpitatprasaṅgānivṛtteḥ n na tarhi keṣāṃcin muktir itareṣāṃ saṃsāraś ca karmabandhanimittāviśeṣād iti cen na teṣāṃ śuddhyaśuddhitaḥ pratimuktītarasaṃbhavād ātmanām bhavyetarasvabhāvau teṣāṃ sāmarthyāsāmarthyemāṣādipākyāparaśaktivat śakteḥ prādurbhāvāpekṣayā sāditvamm abhisāsandhinānātvaṃ śuddhyaśuddhīśaktyor iti bhedam ācāryaḥ prāha tato 'nyatrāpi sādyanādī prakṛtaśaktyor vyaktīkutaḥ śaktipratiniyama iti cetna hi bhāvasvabhāvāḥ paryanuyoktavyāḥ buddher anekāntāt yenākāreṇa tattvaparicchedas tadapekṣayā prāmāṇyam ititena pratyakṣatadābhāsayor api prāyaśaḥ saṃkīrṇaprāmāṇyetarasthitir unnetavyā prasiddhānupahatendriyadṛṣṭer api candrārkādiṣu deśapratyāsattyādyabhūtākārāvabhāsanāt tathopahatākṣāder api saṃkhyādivisaṃvāde 'pi candrādisvabhāvatattvopalambhāt tatprakarṣāpekṣayā vyapadeśavyavasthā gandhadravyādivattathānumānāder api kathaṃcin mithyāpratibhāse 'pi tattvapratipattyaiva prāmāṇyam anyathāekāntakalpanāyāṃ tu nāntarbahistattvasaṃvedanaṃ vyavatiṣṭhetasvayam advayāder dvayādipratibhāsanād rūpādisvalakṣaṇānāṃ ca tathaivādarśanād yathā vyāvarṇyantetasmād dṛṣṭasya bhāvasya dṛṣṭa evākhilo guṇatadaviśeṣopalambhābhyupagame 'pibhrānter niścīyate neti sādhanaṃ saṃpravartatetatra ca tadvyavasāyavaikalyekvacid dharmādharmasaṃvedanavat parokṣatvopapattevikalpānām atattvaviṣayatvāt kutas tattvapratipattiḥmithyājñānāviśeṣe 'pi viśeṣo 'rthakriyāṃ prati maṇipradīpaprabhādṛṣṭānto 'pi svapakṣaghātī maṇipradīpaprabhādarśanasyāpi saṃvādakatvena prāmāṇyaprāptyā pramāṇāntarbhāvavighaṭanātna hi tatpratyakṣaṃ svaviṣaye visaṃvādanāt śuktikādarśanavadrajatabhrāntau nāpi laiṅgikaṃ liṅgaliṅgisaṃbandhāpratipatter anyathā dṛṣṭāntetarayor ekatvāt kiṃ kena kṛtaṃ syātkādācitkārthaprāpter ārekāder api saṃbhavāt na hi mithyājñānasya saṃvādanaikāntaḥ tathā na laiṅgikaṃ sarvathaivāvisaṃvādakatvāt tasmāt sūktaṃ tattvajñānam eva pramāṇaṃ kāraṇasāmagrībhedāt pratibhāsabhede 'pīti pramāṇam eva vā tattvajñānaṃtataḥ svalakṣaṇadarśanānantarabhāvinas tattvavyavasāyasya pramāṇatvopapatteḥ pratyakṣam anumānam iti pramāṇa evetyādyavadhāraṇaṃ pratyācaṣṭe anadhigatārthādhigamābhāvāt tadapramāṇatve laiṅgikasyāpi mā bhūtviśeṣābhāvāt anadhigatatvasvalakṣaṇādhyavasāyād anumiter atiśayakalpanāyāṃ prakṛtasyāpi na vai pramāṇatvaṃ pratiṣedhyamanirṇītanirṇayātmakatvāt kṣaṇabhaṅgānumānavatdhvaner akhaṇḍaśaḥ śravaṇād adhigamo 'pi prāthamakalpikas tattvanirṇītir eva tadatyaye dṛṣṭer api visaṃvādakatvena prāmāṇyānupapatter adarśanānatiśāyanāt taddarśanābhāve 'pi tattvaniścaye tadanyasamāropavyavacchedalakṣaṇe pramāṇalakṣaṇāṅgīkaraṇāt kvacit kutaścid dhūmaketulaiṅgikavannirṇītārthamātrasmṛter adhigatārthādhigamāt prāmāṇyaṃ mā bhūt pramitiviśeṣābhāvātprakṛtanirṇayasya prāmāṇye hi na kiṃcid atiprasajyate vannirṇīte 'pi kathaṃcid atiśāyanād a pratyabhijñānaṃ pramāṇaṃ vyavasāyātiśayopapatteḥtatsāmarthyādhīnatvāt pramāṇatvasthiteḥanyathā hi visaṃvādaḥ syāt saṃśayādivat liṅgaliṅgisaṃbandhajñānaṃ pramāṇam aniścitaniścayād anumānavad sattvakṣaṇikatvayor dhūmatatkāraṇayor vā sākalyena vyāptipratipattau na pratyakṣam utsahate sannihitārthākārānukāritvātaparīkṣākṣamatvāc cā nānumānam anavasthānuṣaṅgāt sudūram api gatvā tadubhayavyatiriktaṃ vyavasthānimittam abhyupagantavyamd upamānādikaṃ pramāṇāntaram icchatāṃ tattvanirṇayapratyavamarṣapratibandhādhigamapramāṇatvapratiṣedhaḥ prāyaśo vaktur jaḍimānam āviṣkaroti iti pratyakṣaṃ parokṣam ity etad dvitayaṃ pramāṇaarthāpattyāder anumānavyatireke 'pi parokṣe 'ntarbhāvāt tatra sakalajñānāvaraṇaparikṣayavijṛmbhitaṃ kevalajñānaṃ yugapatsarvārthaviṣayamtathoktaṃ 'sarvadravyaparyāyeṣu kevalasya' ititajjñānadarśanayoḥ kramavṛttau hi sarvajñatvaṃ kādācitkaṃ syād kutas tatsiddhir iti sāmānyaviśeṣaviṣayayor vigatāvaraṇayor ayugapatpratibhāsāyogāt pratibandhakāntarābhāvāt śeṣaṃ sarvaṃ kramavṛtti prakārāntarāsaṃbhavātcakṣurādijñānapañcakasyāpi parasparavyavadhāne 'pi vicchedānupalakṣaṇaṃ kṣaṇakṣayavatyaugapadye hi saṃtānabhedāt parasparaparāmarśābhāvaḥ santānāntaravatmānasapratyakṣe 'pi cakṣurādijñānānantarapratyayodbhavena kaścid viśeṣaḥ kramavṛttau cakṣurādijñānavad vyavadhānapratibhāsavikalpapratipatter asaṃbhavātyaugapadye hi sparśādipratyavamarśavirodhaḥ puruṣāntaravatviṣayasyānekāntātmakatvāt matijñānādisyādvādanayalakṣitaṃ pratipattavyaṃkevalajñānavat syādvādopalakṣitatvāc ca siddhaprayojanatvāt kevalināṃ sarvatropekṣānanu karuṇāvataḥ paraduḥkhajihāsoḥ katham upekṣā tadabhāve kathaṃ cāptiḥ iti cen nasvaduḥkhanivartanavadakaruṇayāpi vṛtter anyaduḥkhanirācikīrṣāyāmddayālor evātmaduḥkhanivartanaṃ ato 'yam asamādhir iti cen nana vai pradīpaḥ kṛpālutayātmānaṃ paraṃ vā tamaso duḥkhahetor nivartayatīti kalpayitvāpi kṛpālutāṃ tatkaraṇasvabhāvasāmarthyaṃ mṛgyam evaṃ hi paramparāpariśramaṃ pariharet matyādeḥ sākṣāt phalaṃ svārthavyāmohavicchedas tadabhāve darśanasyāpi sannikarṣāviśeṣāt kṣaṇapariṇāmopalambhavad avisaṃvādakatvāsaṃbhavātparamparayā hānopādānasaṃvittiḥtathā hi karaṇasya kriyāyāś ca kathaṃcid ekatvaṃ pradīpatamo 'vigamavat nānātvaṃ ca paraśvādivat tasmād grāhyasaṃvidākārayoḥ pramāṇaphalavyavasthāyām api visaṃvādānirākaraṇe tadajñasyeva viṣadṛṣṭiḥ pramāṇatvaṃ na pratipattum arhati tāvataiva pramāṇatve kṣaṇikatvādyanumānam adhigatārthādhigamalakṣaṇatvān na vai pramāṇa padānāṃ parasparāpekṣāṇāṃ nirapekṣaḥ samudāyo vākyaṃ na tarhi tadānīm idaṃ bhavati yathā yat sat tat sarvaṃ pariṇāmi yathā ghaṭaḥ saṃś ca śabda iti tasmāt pariṇāmīty ākāṅkṣaṇātpratipattur dharmo 'yaṃ vākyeṣv adhyāropyate sa cet pratipattā tāvatārthaṃ pratyeti kim iti śeṣam ākāṅkṣatiprakaraṇādinā vākyakalpenāpy arthapratipattau navā prāthamakalpikavākyalakṣaṇaparihāraḥsatyabhāmādipadavad sadasannityānityādisarvathaikāntapratikṣepalakṣaṇo 'nekāntaḥkvacit prayujyamānaḥ syācchabdas tadviśeṣaṇatayā prakṛtārthatattvam avayavena sūcayati prāyaśo nipātānāṃ tatsvabhāvatvād evakārādivatna hi kevalajñānavad akhilam akramam avagāhate vācaḥ kramavṛttitvāt tadbuddher api tathābhāvāt kathaṃcid ityādiḥ kiṃvṛttacidvidhiḥ syādvādaparyāyaḥ so 'yam anekāntam abhipretya saptabhaṅganayāpekṣaḥ svabhāvaparabhāvābhyāṃ sadasadādivyavasthāṃ pratipādayati saptabhaṅgī proktādravyārthikaparyāyārthikapravibhāgavaśān naigamādayaḥ śabdārthanayā bahuvikalpā mūlanayadvayaśuddhyaśuddhibhyāṃ syādvādakevalajñāne iti nirdeśāt tayor abhyarhitatvāniyamaṃ darśayati parasparahetukatvātsyābhyarhitatve vā pūrvanipāte vyabhicāraṃ sūcayati kathaṃ punaḥ syādvādaḥ sarvatattvaprakāśanaḥ yāvatā 'mitiśrutayor nibandho dravyeṣv asarvaparyāyeṣu' 'jīvādayaḥ sapta padārthās tattvaṃ tatpratipādanāviśeṣāt tadāha bhedaḥ sākṣād asākṣāc ceti sākṣātkṛter eva sarvadravyaparyāyān paricchinatti nānyata iti yāvatvaca 'sapakṣeṇaiva sādhyasya sādharmyād' ity anena hetos trailakṣaṇyam 'avirodhād' ity anyathānupapattiṃ ca darśayatā kevalasya trilakṣaṇasyāsādhanatvam uktaṃ tatputratvādivat ekalakṣaṇasya tu gamakatvaṃ 'nityatvaikāntapakṣe 'pi vikriyā nopapadyate' iti bahulam anyathānupapatter eva samāśrayaṇāt yatrārthakriyā na saṃbhavati tan na vastutattvaṃ yathā vināśaikāntaḥ tathā ca nityatve 'pi kramayaugapadyābhyām arthakriyā na saṃbhavati nāparaṃ prakārāntaram iti trilakṣaṇayoge 'pi pradhānam ekalakṣaṇaṃ tatraiva sādhanasāmarthyapariniṣṭhiteḥ tad eva ca pratibandhaḥ pūrvavadvītasaṃyogyādisakalahetupratiṣṭhāpakaṃ tataḥ syādvādetyādinānumitam anekāntātmakam arthatattvam ādarśayatitasya viśeṣo nityatvādiḥ pṛthak pṛthak tasya pratipādako nayaḥ tathā coktam 'arthasyānekarūpasya dhīḥ pramāṇaṃ tadaṃśadhīḥ nayo dharmāntarāpekṣī durṇayas tannirākṛtiḥ' iti tadanekāntapratipattiḥ pramāṇam ekadharmapratipattir nayas tatpratyanīkapratikṣepo durṇayaḥ kevalavipakṣavirodhadarśanena svapakṣābhiniveśāt uktalakṣaṇo dravyaparyāyasthānaḥ saṃgrahādir nayaḥ tacchākhāpraśākhātmopanayaḥ tadekāntānāṃ vipakṣopekṣālakṣaṇānāṃ trikālaviṣayāṇāṃ samitir dravyaṃ tatas teṣām apoddhārād guṇaguṇyādivat sunayadurṇayayor yathāsmābhir lakṣaṇaṃ vyākhyātaṃ tathā na codyaṃ na parihāraḥ tathā hi nirapekṣatvaṃ pratyanīkadharmasya nirākṛtiḥ sāpekṣatvam upekṣā anyathā pramāṇanayā'viśeṣaprasaṅgāt dharmāntarādānopekṣāhānilakṣaṇatvāt pramāṇanayadurṇayānāṃ prakārāntarāsaṃbhavāc ca pramāṇāt tad atatsvabhāvapratipatter nayāt tatpratipatter durṇayād anyanirākṛteś ca iti viśvopasaṃhṛtiḥ yat sat tatsarvam anekāntātmakam arthakriyākāritvāt svaviṣayākārasaṃvittivat na kiṃcid ekāntaṃ vastutattvaṃ sarvathā tadarthakriyā'saṃbhavād gaganakusumādivar nāsti sadekāntaḥ sarvavyāpāravirodhaprasaṅgād asadekāntavatiti vidhinā pratiṣedhena vā vastutattvaṃ niyamyetaanyathā tadviśiṣṭam arthatattvaṃna syād vi ity anena vidhipratiṣedhayor guṇapradhānabhāvena sadasadādivākyeṣu vṛttir iti lakṣayati pratyakṣādipramāṇaviṣayabhūtaṃ viruddhadharmādhyāsalakṣaṇaviruddhaṃ vasturocate tatra ke vayam tad evety ekāntena pratipādayantī mithyaiva bhāratīkatham anayārthadeśanam ity ekānte vākyārthānupapattir ālakṣyate vācaḥ svabhāvo 'yaṃ yena svārthasāmānyaṃ pratipādayantī tadaparaṃ nirākarotinyatarāpāye 'nuktānatiśāyanāt idaṃ tayā nedaṃ tayā vā na pratīyeta tadarthaḥ kūrmaromādivat na khalu sāmānyaṃ viśeṣaparihāreṇa viśeṣo vākvacid upalabhāmahe anupalabhamānāś ca kathaṃ svaṃ paraṃ vā tathābhiniveśena vipralabhāmahe astītikevalam abhāvavicchedādpoham āheti cet kaḥ punar apohaḥ parato vyāvṛttir abhāvokatham evaṃ satyabhāvaṃ pratipādayati bhāvaṃ na pratipādayatīty anuktasamaṃ na syāt tadvikalpomithyābhiniveśād iti cet na caitat tasya pratipādakaṃ mithyāvikalpahetutvād vyalīkavacanavattataḥ syādvāda eva satyalāñchano na vādāntaram ity atiśāyayati astītyādi vidheyam abhipretya vidhānāt nāstitvādibhir aviruddhaṃvidhipratiṣedhayor anyonyāvinābhāvalakṣaṇatvāt svārthajñānavattadvidheyapratiṣedhyātmaviśeṣāt syādvādaḥ prakriyate saptabhaṅgīsamāśrayāt itisvoktaparicchede vihiteyam āptamīmāṃsā sarvajñaviśeṣaparīkṣāniḥśreyasakāmināṃ bhavyānāṃ tadanupayogāt tattvetaraparīkṣāṃ prati bhavyānām eva niyatādhikṛtiḥ śrīvardhamānam akalaṅkam anindyavandyapādāravindayugalaṃ praṇipatya mūrdhnā bhavyaikalokanayanaṃ paripālayantaṃ syādvādavartma pariṇaumi samantabhadram
